Peanut butter and Jelly

He walked into school. Luke already had seen him. Michael had a bruised black eye and yet he had no emotion.

Luke looked in sympathy as he closed his locker and went over to Michael. Luke wrapped his arms around the tall boy in a relquishing position.

"You'll be okay" Luke whispered as he looked up at Michael. Michael looked down at him and held his fingers trough Luke's hair.

"We can go to the water after school and share my peanut butter and jelly sandwich?!" Luke said, he wanted to cheer up Michael. He wanted him to feel less alone.

Michael just nodded. He never really said a lot, but Luke was completely fine with it. Luke had his issues too.

So that's where they sat after school by the rivier. It was their safe space.

Luke giggeled as he took out his sandwhiches. A small smile formed on Michael's face. Luke unwrapped the foil and handed a sandwich to Michael before grabbing one himself.

"Thanks.." Michael said softly.

"You're welcome" Luke said as he had to get up a little to kiss Michael's cheek. Michael blushed as he took a bite of his sandwhich.

The two were so close and yet had never kissed each other on the lips. Michael didn't want to yet and Luke was fine with that. He could wait his whole life, he loved Michael.

Luke layed his head on Michael's shoulder as they watched the water rush by.

Michael saw Luke by his locker. He was crying softly as he putted his books away.

"What happened?" Michael asked.

Luke shook his head "I couldn't do it Mike" Luke said softly. "Luke it's fine" Michael said. "No it's not! I'm an idiot" Luke said as he closed his locker.

"You're not an idiot Luke, besides you can do maths with your eyes closed, mot many people can do that silly" Michael said. Luke laughed a little trough his tears.

"C'mere" Michael said as he embraced the small boy into a hug. He had to bow down a bit since Luke was still very small.

"You'll be okay" Michael whispered. "We'll share my dr.peppers by the water after school if you'd like?" Michael said as he rubbed Luke's back. Luke nodded and sniffeled.

"He rejoined the group" Michael read. "Oh" Luke said as he read the part. "He rejoined the group..as they wen- walk-ed as they walked in the exposi-exposition" Luke read. "Good Lukey" Michael said and smiled.

Luke sighed before continuing. "After they ate at the local Gren-Greenery park...Jackson took out h-his book" Luke spoke softly. Michael wrapped on arm around Luke's shoulder as they stared at the book in Luke's lap.

Luke was dyslexic and had a hard time reading at school. He felt really insecure about it, but when he read with Michael he felt comfortable. Michael always helped him with reading stuff or understanding a text.

"You're doing great Luke" Michael said as he kissed Luke's cheek. Luke blushed while reading the text.

Michael pulled Luke closer.

Good Charlotte was blasting trough Luke's speakers as the two were playing on Luke's playstation 3.

"Revive me! Quick quick!" Michael yelled as he jumped a little. Luke bit his lip and tilted his head to the side a little as his character in the game ran over to Michael's character.

"Shit!" Luke said as he got attacked by zombies from behind him.

"Go back go back!" Michael yelled. "Shit okay" Luke said back as he ran away from the zombies, but they had killed him anyway.

Michael groaned and fell back as the title:

Came into the screen. "Luke you slimey snail!" Michael yelled. "I wasn't that slow! I just waited too long for you to get up!" Luke said as both teenagers were frustrated.

"Wanna play again Mikey?" Luke said as he placed his hand on Michael's shoulder, who was now laying on Luke's bed.

"Nah fuck this game, let's go to the-" Michael got caught of by a text from his father.

Michael sighed as he unlocked his phone. "Oh jesus" Michael said.

Luke was getting worried. "What's wrong?" Luke asked. "I gotta go home" Michael said as he typed something back.

"I can come with" Luke said as putted his hand on Michael's thigh. "I can drop you off at the train station" Luke said. Michael smiled "I won't ever let you walk back home alone in the dark my marshmellow" Michael said as he prssed Luke against his chest.

"Mikeyyy" Luke whined. "My hairrr" Luke said as he smiled softly. "Sorry Lucas" Michael said and chuckled. He got up and putted on his shoes.

"I wanna drop you off Mikey!" Luke said as he followed Mikey down the stairs.

"Then you'd have to walk alone all the waaay back..hell no Lucas" Michael said as he grabbed Luke's hand.

"How about I drop you off at the station Mike, with Luke?" Liz asked. "Then you don't have to worry about each other" Liz said. "Good mom" Luke said and went to grab his jacket.

"I'll see you back here in 5 minutes Luke, go walk him over there" Liz said as she parked the car by the side of the station.

"Thanks for the drive ma'am, have a good night" Michael said as he stepped out the car.

"Awh thank you sweetheart" Liz said. "Too you too!" Liz said. Michael smiled and nodded before closing the car door.

"Ready?" Michael asked Luke. Luke nodded and walked besides Michael towards the entrance.

"Are you cold my marshmellow?" Michael said and smirked at the nickname. "Michael stop" Luke said as he poked Michael's side. Michael chuckled and pulled Luke closer.

The reached the entrance and had to say goodbye.

"I don't want you to go to that asshole" Luke said. "You said a bad word Hemmings" Michael said. Luke smiled and shook his head. He was lucky his mom wasn't around.

"I just want you to be okay" Luke said looking up at the tall boy.

"I'll be fine" Michael said. "Are you sure? I could go with you!?" Luke said. "I'm not letting you sleep in the same house my dad lives in.

Luke looked in sympathy at Michael. "You're always welcome at my house" Luke said as he reached his hands up to cup Michael's cheeks.

"Your bruise is fading" Luke said as he smiled. "Luckily" Michael said. It was silent for a second.

"Well, don't let your mom wait Hemmings" Michael said. "Wait" Luke said and stood on his tippy toes. "Michael, you're too tall" Luke said and chuckled.

Michael rolled his eyes before bending his back a bit and grabbing Luke's cheek. He looked into his colourfull eyes before finnaly kissing him.

"Goodbye Hemmings" Michael said and couldn't contain his smile as he pulled away from the kiss.

Luke was still in shock by the kiss. Luke was just about to press a soft kiss onto Michael's cheek, but he didn't expect this. Luke felt amazing.

Michael knew he would be okay, he felt as happy as he could be.

Luke swore his face gone red as he waved at Michael who walked into the station.

"So what happened, you were gone for like 10 minutes" Liz said as she drove home.

Luke groaned "nothing mom" Luke said as he looked out the window and smiled.

"Okay then" Liz said as she smiled. She knew what was up.
