Wei looked around the living room in search of the tv, but he didn't see one.

Yunlan saw it and laughed.
"The tv is in the other room," he said and moved towards the bedroom.

Wei's breath caught in his throat, that wasn't what he had imagined.
He had no choice now, he either escaped or watched tv with Yunlan.

In his bedroom.

Where there were no chairs.

He heard the noise of the tv being switched on and he sighed before joining him. Although he didn't make a sound, every step felt as heavy as a mountain moving.

Yunlan set the tv on the right channel and turned to see where Wei was.
"There you are, I was beginning to wonder if you had escaped through the door."

He laughed at his own joke but Wei froze for a moment, Yunlan had no idea how close he was to doing just that.

There was a big show on and Wei was surprised he hadn't remembered about it. He used to watch it every year at home with his family, it was the biggest event giving out awards for the best shows of the year.

Yunlan sat comfortably on the bed and tapped next to him inviting Wei to join him and sit down.

Wei obeyed slowly, and stiffened feeling him so close.

Yunlan laughed at a joke of the show host, and Wei tried to focus on what was happening on the screen.
One by one many actors and singers walked on the stage, accepting rewards, giving speeches, or generally taking part in the show.

Yunlan laughed at two old actors re-enacting a scene from a famous old movie, and the sound resonated inside Wei's soul, it was such an open and joyful laugh, so different from his own.

Yunlan laughed and commented a lot and Wei began to loosen up and feel more comfortable; he even sang along with the singer on stage, and Yunlan turned to stare at him in a rapture.
"You have a beautiful voice," he said, and Wei smiled at the compliment.

"How is everything about you so beautiful?"
Yunlan said those words looking deeply into his eyes, then his gaze lowered slowly to his lips and Wei knew what was coming, but he didn't protest or move a muscle.

In fact, he looked more like a statue than a human being.

He felt every nerve in his body tensing. Yunlan's stare was hypnotizing and Wei didn't have to wait long before Yunlan leaned closer to plant a kiss on his lips.

Wei remained still and Yunlan soon moved back to watch his expression. "I wasn't wrong about you, was I? About us?" His voice was calm and sweet.

Wei's heart was beating wildly and he didn't know what to do, but he liked Yunlan, liked the way he made him feel and didn't want to upset him, so after a couple of seconds he moved slightly forward, encouraging Yunlan to kiss him again.

On the screen a new idol received an award after the success of his drama series, but they weren't paying attention anymore.

Wei's heart was so loud that he couldn't hear anything else, his lips moved against the other's tentatively and he lost track of time.

It felt so good, but then Yunlan's hands began to unbutton his shirt; Wei realised that things were escalating too quickly and pushed him back in a rush of panic, stopping Yunlan from going any further.

Wei kept his eyes lowered, not wanting to meet the other's, but didn't move away. Inside, he was still panicking, worrying that he might have done something wrong and maybe now Yunlan would be angry at him.
