****3rd Person's P.O.V****
Days passed and it was the naming ceremony of the bundles of joy. The family's twins. She had been recovering well and now even the headaches have reduced. Fatiyyah has gone back home already as they had resumed lectures.
Amal dressed in an Ankara A-shaped gown which suits her colour perfectly. She wore no make-up just lined her eyes with khol, powder for her oily face and lip gloss.
She wore her matching veil, handbag and shoe.
After splaying herself with a little perfume and khumra, she set for the stairs.
There she found Salim clad in a sky blue kaftan with a matching zanna bukar cap. His scent was all over the place. She just loved it. Oud mixed with another perfume.
He flashed her his million dollar smile and she returned with hers.
"You look beautiful," he commended and she blushed.
" You don't look bad yourself," she replied.
" Shall we?" He asked.
" We shall," she said with a smile and they headed outside.
He closed the house and lead them to his car, her favorite. He opened her door and she mouthed a thanks before going in and he closed the door.
He entered the driver's seat and roared the car to life.
Their drive there was silent but comfortable as they enjoyed each other's company.
Salim pulled over in the Khalil driveway and they came out.
"Sannu dazuwa small hajia and Alhaji," the gateman greeted.
" Sannu Baba maigadi, ya aiki?" She asked.
" Lafiya Alhamdulillah hajia," he answered.
" Toh Masha Allah," she said and they walked into the house.
The naming ceremony was conducted at the courtyard so the house was empty.
She left Salim in the sitting room and went in looking for Ummah but not before asking a maid to set a tray for her.
"So it is now you grace us with your presence," Addah Zainab mocked.
" Wallahi Addah Zainab ba haka bane, (it is not like that)," she replied.
" Toh how is it?" She asked.
"You see I had to wait for Salim and I wasn't feeling well. Please where is Ummah?" She asked.
" Ummah is over there with her friends," she pointed to the direction.
After hushing a thank you, Amal moved to where Ummah was. She closed her ears as the music was louder there.
"Ummah Ina wuni, Ina wunin ku," she greeted Ummah and her friends.
" Lafiya Amal," Ummah replied and introduced her to her friends.
"Ina Salim din?" (Where is Salim) Ummah asked.
"Yana palor, he wants to greet you before going" ( he's in the palor) she answered.
" Toh ganinan zuwa," ( I'm coming) she said.
Amal went back to the parlor where her husband was seated. As ordered, the maid has already taken him some refreshments.
"Bari in kawo ma abinci, (let me bring you food)," she said.
"No I'm not hungry thanks to you," he said with a smile and she blushed.
