Liv

"Whatever love you too Geek."

Those were the final words I spoke about the matter at hand. Yes I was hurt I had every right to be but knowing why she did it took a weight of my chest, but I needed to clear my head. I went out back to the big elm tree that held the treehouse that Pappy had helped me build when Maddi and I were younger. I needed to escape. This was the perfect place to do just that. I climbed up the ladder and entered the old wooden door.

It had been a while since the door had been opened at all. I also hadn't been up here since I was 14. As I walked over to the bean bag in the corner I heard the birds chirping their night song. It was beautiful. I had apparently started to doze off as the song lulled me into a trance. There was a knock at the door. "GO AWAY!!!" I yelled out. I had to have been in a dream because the knock sounded again. I stood up. Opening the door, I notice a tall handsome man standing there. No it couldn't be. It was my dad.

Now I knew I was dreaming. Daddy and momma have been gone for 3 months now. "Maddi knows what she is doing Liv. You have to understand that you are two different people. You don't do everything the same or together, even though you are twins you don't share the same brain. You have your cheerleading and Mads has the gang."

I looked at him. "But she is going to get into it again and its going to be a lot of late nights again and on call at all hours. I'm just worried that if she goes back into it again the guys and I are going to have to make sure we all keep to our selves. There are people out there that could hurt us. Let alone kill me. That and all that blood that she will come home covered in. What about Pappy?"

Daddy had smiled a genuine smile and pulled me into a hug. "Don't worry Livvy everything will be okay your sister knows what she is doing."

After he said that, I woke up. I knew what I had to go and do. I needed to talk to Maddi and I needed to let her know that I would be ok. I had to tell her about my news anyways. I knew she would be excited for me but she also had her thing that I needed to be supportive of. Time to go makes some cookies and get ready to talk to her. I climbed down from the elm tree and walked back towards the house.

Once inside, I got to work in the kitchen. I grabbed the flour, eggs, sugar, vanilla, brown sugar, butter and chocolate chips. After, I found a big bowl and soon enough the batter was ready to go into the oven. Once the first batch was finished, I hollered for Maddi and the guys to come to the kitchen.

"Hey assholes get in here, I made cookies!!!!"

Soon enough I heard 3 sets of feet running towards me. Maddi grabbed a cookie off the plate. Before I could tell her they were still hot, the cookie was falling from her mouth. She reached for a glass of milk. "Maddi, I need to let you know some things."

She nodded. Mouthful of cookie and mumbled "What kind of things?"

Before I could speak another set of footsteps entered the kitchen.
