Chapter 8

Sophia's POV

I had to lie to him. I knew it wasn't right because for some reason I knew he cared about me. I'm sitting straight on the hospital and the doctor for the house said that I'm free to go. He gave me pills to ease the pain.

When I told Michael that I hit myself against the ledge of the counter, he looked like he didn't believe me. But thank goodness he didn't push it on.

He helped me off the bed and we walked silently up a the stairs to his room. He sat me on the bed against the headboard and he sat at the edge of the bed. We sat in silent. Honestly, He so sweet and after everything. He got up from the bed and came to my side and held my hand. Sparks flew and I was so nervous. He turned his head and looked at me in the eye and said ,"Don't ever lie to me again. I care about you deeply and I want the best for you. Who ever did this to you, I will find them and hurt them for harming you? Do you understand?" He said it so softly but firm.

He knew I was lying. I couldn't believe it. If he founds out that Mackenzie did it, she'll kill me. I nodded my head yes then he kissed my forehead and he turned on the tv to watch some movies and everything else before that was forgotten.

It's been a whole week and 3 days since I've been here. And honestly it's been kind of fun. Michael and I grew closer than ever and so did Lucas, Kelsey and I. But there is always a flaw. Mackenzie has still been hitting me but the bruises are hidden so Michael didn't get upset. He couldn't notice because he's been so busy going into town.

I haven't been out the house because of the wolves I've seen and Kelsey said that they got it taken care of. So right now I wanted to go for a run, so I have on a sports bra, Nike shorts and sneakers which I got when Kelsey dragged me to go shopping.

I walked towards the door and all of nature's sound, sight and smell surrounded me. I walked of the porch and step on the dirt and just ran. There was a trail in the woods so I know where to go. I kept running and running, not stopping for anything.

After 25 minutes of running, I stopped running to get a drink from my bottle. I wasn't scared because Kelsey said that I was safe. I feel something watching me , I turn around but I don't see anything. I turned back around to continue to run and I see a huge grayish wolf snarling its teeth at me. Nevertheless, I felt like I was going to shit my pants.

It looked at me like I passed territory. I looked down and I didn't see the trail anymore. I looked back to see it and the wolf took one step forward then I heard a twig snap. I turned around so fast, I could have gotten whiplash. I see a humongous Black wolf with gray copper eyes. Those eyes reminded me of something or someone, but it seems like it was in my side.

It came closer to me but I didn't move. It continued and passed right by and right when it did that, I felt protected. I turned around and see the black wolf circling the gray one. Then, you he black wolf lunged toward the gray wolf and bit its neck and instantly killed it. Me being the dumbass I am stayed there.

Then the wolf came closer to me, then just stood there and sat down. It was looking me in the eyes like it was trying to tell me something. Then I heard bones cracking behind the wolf and see the it's a human! What? It can't be? Kelsey was right? So if that's a human then this wolf in front of me is. Those eyes. Gray. Gray copper eyes.

"Michael?" I said in disbelief. Then by all this nonsense, darkness consumed me and I fainted.

She found out!!! Yes took awhile but hey. I just want to give you a heads up. I won't be publishing tomorrow because I'm very busy but I will try too.
