Chapter 9

Michael's POV

At this very moment, I'm in the woods in my wolf form. I just killed two rouges that passed my territory. I'm just slightly jogging, then I smell another rouge. They must haven't learn yet. I'm passing by trees, then I smell my mate. What the fuck is she doing out here??

I started running towards her scent. I'm 3 yards behind her and I see her shaking in fear. My paw snapped a branch and she turned around so fast I thought she got whiplashed. Her eyes studied me like she know what or who I was. I started to make my way towards the other wolf, she didn't move. When I was right next to her, she looked up at me and in her eyes it looked like she was telling herself she was safe.

I walked past her and started circling this hideous rouge, who was passing my territory and was trying to hurt my girl. He wasn't paying attention to me but to my mate. He took a step towards her that made me very upset. I lost control and killed him my snapping his neck. She was still here. I started to walk towards her. Still, she remained in place. I stopped in front on get and sat on my hind legs, looking her straight in the eye. I heard bones cracking, knowing it came from the wolf I just killed.

She slightly moved her head to the side and by the looks, she saw it was human. Then she turned to me knowing I was human too. She kept looking at me and studying me, it was time for her to know what I was. I kept looking at her so she could get mixed signals. Then she mouthed the words ,"Gray. Gray copper eyes."

She looked at my eyes in disbelief and said ,"Michael?" I guess she was overwhelmed because the next thing I knew, I turned into my human form and was carrying my unconscious mate into the pack house.

Hours later, she woke up. She was sitting on our bed. She looked around the room and spotted me. I got to go towards her, but she backed up instantly. Honestly, I was hurt.

"Stay away from me. You lied to me, who you- I mean WHAT you are?!" She yelled. I got angry, too because she has been hiding things from me too.

" I was going to tell you what I am. I never told you a lie. But you kept things from me as well." I barked in her face.

"Oh really?!?! Like what?! You're a monster and you've hurt so many people. You and all the people who lives in this house!" She started to get teary eyes.

" I'm not a monster! I only kill to survive and protect my pack. But you are a liar as well. You lied to me too. Why won't you tell me who do those recent bruises to yourself? I know it's someone in this house. I never lied to you, I was going to tell you! I would never lie or hurt you, can't you see that." I walked towards her ," but you lied to me. You never told me the truth. But it's okay I understand. If you want to leave this house cause I'm a monster, then go, but if you don't I'll explain exactly everything to you? " And with that I walked out.

Sophia's POV

"- I'll explain exactly everything to you?" and then he left. I felt so guilty. I'm so stupid. And he found out about the bruises too. He's right. I lied to him, he didn't lie to me. when he said he was going to tell me, I saw in his eyes that he was telling the truth. Plus he protected me. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I decided to hear him out. I walked downstairs, to see Michael, Lucas and Kelsey having a heated conversation.

" So I'm guessing you two are both werewolves as well uh?" I said surprising them. But Michael didn't seem so, it looks like he knew me so well that I'll hear him out.

" Yeah. We're so sorry for not telling you. Yet. But you weren't ready, it was hard not to tell you," Kelsey said with regretful eyes.

"So that story you told me was true huh? About the werewolves? Do you guys mind telling me the whole story about how this whole thing works?" I told them especially towards Michael.

He looked me in the eyes and began ,"It was about 3000 years ago, werewolves have been around since the times of humans. There was a woman name Mater Luna, she was the first human to discover our kind because she fell in love with one of our ancestors. That was her mate. One day, she was taking a stroll. Then, out of nowhere another pack came and attacked her because they thought she was a killer. She died and her mate blamed himself for all of it. Legends say that that Mater Luna name means "Mother of the Moon." Since she fell in love with a werewolf, she was given a second chance. To guide other werewolves and choose their other half."

"Their other half? What are mates? " I questioned.

"I'm getting to that. When I said that she chooses another werewolf other half, I mean there mates. Mates are part of your soul, they love you no matter what and care for you. They'll do anything to make you happy. They automatically love each other. If the other half dies , the mate goes into depression and will do anything to get to their love. Also, What you are in now is called a pack house. All the pack members are living in this home, you haven't seen them yet because I sent them out so you didn't have to be frightened and shy." Michael said in a hurry.

I got jealous knowing somebody else is Michael's mate. I accepted the story and the honest truth. But I just had to ask," So I'm guessing, Lucas and Kelsey are mates, because if the way they are hooked up on one another,"they nodded ," so who's your mate, Michael?" All of them looked around and he said," well my mate is the most beautiful and stubborn loving girl I've ever met. And she's you."
