Chapter 7

Sophia's POV

Mackenzie. She looked at me and glared ," Ohh hey whore! Mind if I ask what are you doing in our pac-?!" Before she could finish her sentence, Michael stood up so fast and was in front of her face and barked ," What the hell did you just call her?! Apologize right now!! " The toned he used made everyone shiver but I say Kelsey, Mackenzie and Lucas cower in fear.

"Yes alpha. I'm sorry Sophia." she said in a low and scared tone. Michael looked satisfied and sat down but when he wasn't looking she glared at me and right there and then I knew my past was still here. All I'm wondering is why did she call him Alpha?

After dinner Michael, Lucas and Kelsey went out to town and told me to stay here. Honestly, I wanted to go for two reasons. One is I don't want to be in the house with Mackenzie and Two I wanted to go and see the sites.

I'm in the kitchen , cutting up slices of apples then when I was on my last slice, I fell to the floor. Hard.

"Ow," I said as I tried to sit up. Then Mackenzie came into view. I don't want to be near her so I backed myself then my dumbass hits a corner.

" Didn't I tell you not to mess with me?" She said and her eyes were going dark. What the hell? I didn't even say a word to her. I promise she's an idiot.

She grabbed me by my hair and sucker punched me right across the face. Then, she pulled me up to push me back on the ground and repeatedly kicking my stomach. She bent down and got to my level and said , " If you tell anyone about this, I'll kill you in your sleep. Do you understand?" I nodded and she walked away without a care in the world.

I tried to stand up and used the counter top for support. My tummy was hurting and I knew that there would definitely be a bruise. I just stayed in the kitchen because I couldn't move at all. After what felt like hours for standing so long , Michael and the rest came back. As soon as Michael saw me, he rushed to my side immediately and said,"Hurry, I need a doctor!!" Why on earth would I need a doctor The. I felt something liquidity and saw that I was bleeding. How long have I been bleeding?

He picked me up and brought me to a room that looks more like a hospital. Sheesh does this house get any bigger? Then I heat my name being called I want to say something but I can't. My vision is getting dark and I'm getting sleepy. But before I went fully unconscious, I see Michael form into something that I'll be far away and safe from.

But it was probably my imagination.

Michael's POV

Lucas, Kelsey and I just came from perimeter check. Which we had to go all the way in town for. All I wanted to do was see my mate again. I noticed something was off with her cause when I told her to stay in the house, she looked terrified but I wouldn't know.

I walk into the house to see my mate holding on to the counter. Then I smell blood. Her blood. I rush to her in my wolf speed and see the she is holding her stomach and bleeding. I couldn't think about anything else. "Get a doctor !!" I yelled at Lucas. I carried her into the pack's hospital. And later her down onto the bed.

The doctor was examining her and said she had either hit herself extremely hard or was brutally beaten on. I was so mad at the thought of her getting beaten. My eyes are black and my wolf was going to come out. Sophia started to get unconscious and I kept on calling her name and when I thought I see her slipping away, My wolf came out and ran towards the woods. I decided that I was keeping guard. No one leaves, no one enters!

I'm circling the pack house to make sure no one leaves. I mind linked Lucas saying," How is she? "

He replied," The doc just finished taking her vitals. Now she's just sleeping."

I growled. I didn't want her to be hurt. I should've been there with her to prevent what ever had happen. I replied," Well call me if she's awake. I'm going into the woods. Just to have protection."

Hours later, Lucas linked me and said that she was awake. As soon as he said that, I ran towards the house so fast, turned into my human self and walked into the infirmary.

I see Sophia sitting straight on the bed. I walked up to her and caressed her cheek and said ," Tell me what happened. And I want the truth." She hesitated then relaxed and said ," I was rushing and I hit my side on the ledge of the counter." she said , I had some suspicion but I didn't dare go further because of the state she's in.

Or God so help me.
