The sun's rays almost blinded Linsy once she opens her eyes from her slumber. Irritated, she closed the curtains to shield herself from the light. Grunting, she gets up from her bed and went to the bathroom to wash herself up. She is very sure that she will spend at least 30 minutes showering so might as well do it immediately.

After she is all clean and pristine, she cooks a simple scrambled eggs as her breakfast. She slumps on her chair and eats her breakfast, her mind still wandering somewhere else, she hopes the girl is okay after that and wishes her well.

A knock on her door is suddenly heard snapping Linsy out of her daze. The platinum blonde quickly went to open the door.

Her eyes widen when she saw Jiro on her doorstep wearing a frown. Jiro immediately got inside her house and closes the door behind him.

"Jiro, what's wrong?" Jiro seems to be finding the right words to say and his mouth is moving like a fish underwater, "You look so confused..."

"It's just that... uhmm.. it's strange that the selection is suddenly cancelled" Linsy doesn't know what to feel at the moment but deep down she's relieved about the news thoygh it is strange that it was cancelled. Does the King decided that he didn't need a Queen to rule by his side after all? Whatever it is, it feels like a weight has been lifted up from her chest.

She smiles, "Isn't it great? I don't have to face that tyrant anymore."

"Yeah,I guess you're right. I  might be only worried about nothing."

"So,what are we going to do now? We're not attending the selection anymore" Linsy ponders for a moment then snaps her fingers, "Can I go to your house? I want to go there again. It's been a while since I last visited."

Most rich folks wouldn't want a commoner to stand or linger at their residences but thankfully Jiro's family is an exception. They're known to be really kind and generous to all, whether how rich or poor. Jiro's mother is a very sophisticated woman and is Linsy's second mother, when she was little, his mother would often send her gifts and delicious foods but Linsy insisted that she shouldn't bother giving her those because she prefers to  earn it by working and Jiro's mother understands her reasons though she wants Linsy to let her know if she needs help.

"Yeah, my mother will be happy and would probably doll you up any time" he lets out a light laugh, "She treats you like her own daughter" he smiles softly at Linsy, Linsy tries her best not to blush at his gesture but she is pretty sure she failed at that as she feels blood rushing to her cheeks.

Linsy admits that she likes Jiro but she couldn't say it out loud. It may ruin their friendship for 10 years and she doesn't want that so she kept her mouth shut.

She tears her eyes away from Jiro, ashamed of what she's been feeling for him. She couldn't bear the idea of him finding out and not reciprocating her feelings.

Pursing her lips, she faces Jiro again this time while smiling back at him to mask her thoughts.

"Come before mother leaves the house. She needs to supervise her boutique some time today so we got to hurry" he grabs her hand and leads her outside.

Her eyes lingers to their hands, wondering if this will all change if she confesses her feelings to him but shakes her thoughts.

All I have to do is to shut my mouth about and everything will be fine as it is.

She mentally agreed at her thought.

They stopped at a white and gold mansion. The area is probably around 5000 hectares or somewhere near that. At the back of the gate lines a canal with clear waters and koy fishes swimming on it. A wide path can be seen at the center aisle with red carnation flowers at each of its sides.

She slightly gapes at the dark door made of Narra. Its sturdiness is already evident on its appearance. It would be no surprise if this door cost a fortune.

Jiro knocks on the door which immediately opens up revealing a man in a black suit with a green bow tie at his collar. His eyes are filled with wisdom from years of living, and his composed demeanor shows professionalism. He is Jiro's family butler, Mr. Giles.

He bows at the two teenagers before him, "Welcome young master and Lady Linsy."

"Where is mother, Mr. Giles?"

Mr. Giles straightens up before answering, "She is on her room doing her work, sir."

Jiro nods at his answer, "Please inform her that Linsy is paying us a visit."

"As you wish, young master" he bows then takes his leave.

Jiro and Linsy sit down on a sofa across from each other. Linsy leans her back to the soft texture of the sofa, relishing the fluffiness of it.

The two remained silent until a voice startled them out of their thoughts.

" Linsy, dear! How are you doing?"
