Tarion leaves the room. His footseps are clicking against the shiny marble floor of the palace. The servants line up at each side of the hallway. All are bowing in respect to their monarch.
He gives them no mind, instead he enters the throne room where a personified gem is waiting for him.
While trying his best to look presentable for her, he knew that she would probably be giving him a lot of glares like most of his subjects do.
It seemed like there's a fire in her eyes that is gradually consuming him. He wasn't sure if he likes the message she's implying or not. Whatever, she'll bow down to him in a matter of time.
He internally smirk at the thought. Tarion gestures to one of his butlers, "Cross, please prepare me and my lady some snacks. She must be hungry from her journey."
Cross nodded at the young King before he takes his leave.
A 'clang' is heard when a teacup fell from a maid's hands. The woman silently muttered 'ouch' as it turns out that she accidentally touched the cup's hot portion. The others made their way towards the woman to offer help.
Tarion purses his lips in displeasure as he realized that they are not the only people in the room.
Linsy furrows her eyes in concern and was about to rush beside her but a hand stopped her. She shot him a glare which he returned with a shady one. The look has taken her aback but obeyed anyway. She knew better than start a ruckus with the King.
"All of you, leave us" he orders all of them. The tone got the servants slightly shudder in fear and they hurried to leave the throne room or else the King will be a ticking bomb.
Once they are alone, the King turns his attention towards the platinum haired girl in front of him.
He clears his throat before introducing himself, "Allow me to have a proper introduction, my lady. I am King Tarion, widely known as the infamous handsome King."
Linsy internally rolled her eyes at that. He is not only cruel but he's also a narcissistic asshole.
The King attempts to touch her hand but she quickly move her hand away.
Tarion is shocked, to say the least, at her actions. He doesn't know if he should be amused or be mad at the girl.
Linsy knew that it ticked the King a bit, "My apologies, Your Majesty but it would be rude and improper to have an informal gesture with a low life like me for royals such as yourself" she smiles at him hoping that he would realize something.
"Oh, I see. Very well then, how about I show you around the palace" he offers Linsy a tour. The girl, however, seems to be confused at something.
"If you don't mind me asking, Your Majesty. Why did you send me here?"
The King widens his eyes at her straightforward question. This girl really has guts, he likes it.
"Hmmm...let me see, how do I say this?" he puts his chin between his fingers, "Ah, surely you've heard about the news that the selection has been cancelled. Do you want to know why?"
"Why?"
"I have already chosen a wife."
It feels like cold water has been splashed to Linsy as she realized what he said.
