Tarion's POV
"Your Majesty" my adviser kneel before me. I nodded at him signalling for him to continue, "There has been a problem regarding the treaty between Burlington and Rissonia."
"So? Why are you telling me this? What does this have to do with me?" I raised an eyebrow. Fool, it's their problem, let them mind their own business.
He replied calmly, "All Kings are called to a meeting next week, sire. This should be solved by all kingdoms to maintain order and peace between nations" so that's what it is.....
Pathetic.
But if it's next week, then I have to go now. Ah shame, I guess I have to postpone my wedding with my love.
"What a drag *sigh*. Fine, we will depart now. Tell the maids to prepare my things" I stand up from my throne, "Inform them the wedding will be delayed. "
"Yes, sire" and I am left alone in the room. I look at myself at the mirror on the far corner. I smirk, what a waste. I would've been more handsome in front of her any moment now but fate has to be so cruel. I guess that's how it works, I'm not the type to wait however.
I think I should pay her a visit.
Linsy's POV
What am I going to do? I will be walking down the isle with someone who offered marriage to me on the spot! I don't even have a choice.
Come on Linsy.... you have to think. There has got to be a way out of this.
Seems like my prayers has been answered when it came to me that the heels I'm wearing are sharp enough to break the window. How can I come down though?
I take a look outside and down the window. Thank goodness, it's not that high.
Quickly, I take the heels off and I was about to smash the window when the door suddenly opened. I don't have the time to react and saw Tarion standing there. My eyes widen and dropped the shoes. He grins at me, "What a cute attempt to escape. I was expecting more from you though... didn't think you would actually break a window to break free. Are you that desperate?" This guy really gets on my nerves.
"If you have been forced to marry an asshole and didn't even got the chance to say yes or no, then I suppose it's worth it."
He chuckles, "You are very amusing. I find it alluring about you. Well, good for you I have good news."
I cross my arms, "What is it?"
"The wedding will be delayed" Do my ears deceive me? Is what I'm hearing correct?
I almost jumped in joy but what he says next partly destroys it.
"If you are internally celebrating, there is a fine difference between delayed and cancelled. Don't be stupid" Ouch.
I look at him in exasperation, "Are you kidding me? Who in the world decides who I'm going to marry? It's me, not you" he shakes his head laughing, "Darling, if a King decides to marry a lady, you can't do anything about it. You don't have the power in the world against me."
The door opened once again revealing his adviser, "The carriage for the lady is ready and your things are currently being loaded into the ship, sire."
"Very well" he turns to me and smiles, "Until we meet again, my love" he kisses me on the lips. I struggle to get out of his grip and he immediately let me go. I raise my hand to slap him but he swifly walks away successfully avoiding the attack. Before he leaves, he gives me a final wave.
I swear I hate him.
