It seemed to be late at night as suddenly I heard a small thrush in front of me. It was coming from the bushes... My heart beating fast, I position myself in such a way that I can defend attacks from the briar and from the trail. I quickly took a swig of the potion I had in my pocket, my sleeping cloth underneath me. It wasn't anything special, just a simple restoration for my power, as I used quite a bit already. I used quite a lot of my energy from attacking the hybrids. It was risky but I was put in a rather uncomfortable and dire situation. I couldn't not get involved. As I let the anger within me fuel me from within, my hands grip my wand, pointing it at a large tree near the path where the others where, three druid, half breed witch and warlocks.I begin to put more focus on the briar and I remove my boots quickly, my bare feet touching the grass, Becoming closer to nature.
"Are you sure this is what you want" I yell. I was only talking them down as I knew the more I used power, the weaker I was getting. Blood was seeping from my eyes. Before I allowed any response I tossed some seeds on the ground, whispered a few words as they sprouted I began chanting, "Grow, grow, grow..."
I looked into the bag and realized there was only a few left inside. Looking a little disappointed I had to use the seeds. As my chants come to a halt, I can feel the others getting closer but they don't make it to me in time. Green rich sprouts launched before as roses and spikes formed, pricking my enemies on the other side.
One druid that performed the execution on the young elf, was pricked quickly in the eye. He howled loudly as his eye was covered shut by thorny stitches. That would do. He angered me a lot during the execution so even though I failed to revive the young elf, it was eye for an eye. My goal was now to live for the elf and come back for her.My man traps suddenly bite and snap 2 of them grappling and stunning them for now.
"Curse u stupid earth mutt!" The executioner druid was coughing up thorns so I've decided to shut seal his mouth, the green thorns wrapping around his mouth.
"Watch your mouth my child." I used some more earth magic, my hands raising over my head.
One hits me with a spell I don't recognize right in the face. Wincing as it felt like being punched, a little blood trickling from my mouth. The tattoo on the center of my chest begins to flicker a vibrant yellow. I quickly wipe away the blood. "Ahh..I see." They were not normal, typical druids.
Surprise filled my body, as some of my essence faded away into the woods. The attack was powerful and I feared I wouldn't last any longer if I stayed and fought.
Suddenly I point my wand, pulling it from my grapple bag beneath my feet. I was trying to hit the warlock that hasn't attacked me yet and casted the spell, he waved his hand, speaking an unknown spell that I've quickly recognized as demon.
"Simion.." he speaks as he deflects my attack towards him and my spell hits the witch next to him.
"Lucium..." I muttered as the witch druid cried in pain. My spell made a single blade of grass grow Impaling her abdomen leaving a toxin as it shrinks back to its original size. The witch begins turning green as the toxin takes effect. With great anger the warlock standing next to her ran his hand across a small dagger, saying kill the impure. The dagger glows purple as she throws it at me. I Dodge noticing it's about to return to its master still embude with the curse. I wave my hand as a tree sprouts an almost human-like hand and grabs the hilt.
I chuckle saying "that won't work unless I'm not looking and because I see and notice what the plants do attacks like that won't work." One of the warlocks, the executioner from the path was tossed over by the tree.
"Oh fuck, my goddess!" I bellowed as suddenly my vision went black.
Someone has cast a smokescreen spell in the hopes of it blinding me. Small fire bolts and bolts of electricity wiz around me, fortunately missing me. The thorns of bushes that were protecting me were now scorched with flames but their spells had no effect. I kneel closing my eyes and placing my hands to the ground, using the ground as my eyes. Whispering the spike spell once more a blade of grass grows in size Impaling a warlock and poisoning it as it shrinks to its original size. The warlock was the executioner as he was taking the most damage. The others didn't react to the poison.
I begin to think, I can't take much more of this. I feel around for my belongings and I put my belongings on. Then I pull a stone from my pocket and say the word "blink." Suddenly vanishing completely. I appear again outside the rose bush that was now engulfed in big flames. Ahead of me, I start running as I drop the stone using its last charge.
The stone was imbued with four charges of the blink spell.
I run as long as I can carry my body, feeling my life force slowly draining me. In my mind, I thank my wizard friend for the gift. I run until my legs feel like they cannot go on. I stop, walking a bit off the path. Feeling stiff I sit beneath a tree. I touch the tree asking it to keep me safe, it's energy glowing green aroma around me. I then say a little prayer to my goddess for safety. Looking ahead of me I can see them looking for me, but not being able to see me. The magic engulfing and surrounding me was making me invisible. I felt weak and hopeless, asking my goddess for some type of answer. In realization I understood what had happened to me. Looking down at my emerald, gold boots I pulled my pant cuffs up and moaned.
My bones ached, feeling unusually brittle. My legs were deformed, turning into stone. My flesh was solid and I couldn't move. I hear more sounds of the warlocks and witches passing by on the trail not seeing me, discussing my bounty. Once I'm sure they are long gone, I lay back down finding sleep. I cast one last spell to the earth goddess to lead me as the world around me was stiff, till all I could see was black and stone.
