Two women traveled through the night, dressed in dark clothing to mask themselves among the deep forest surroundings. The druid women had been hot on the trail of a being who was half orc and half elf for a week now, and finally they had arrived at the place they believed the half blood resided.
It was unknown, even to the women, as to why this being needed to be tracked down and brought back to the coven for further inquiry. All the women knew was that they were tasked with the location and capture of the half blood.
Quiet as mice they creeped up to the rundown cabin. Ivy had overgrown up the sides of the building, the law was unkempt and overgrown, wild flowers pooled out of their beds, illuminated by the iridescent moonlight.
The woman dressed in green found an open window, the glass long before smashed, with a breath she hoisted herself over the ledge, landing the cabin on silent feet. The second woman dressed in black followed suit with equal grace, but as the woman in green quietly pulled a bottle and cloth out of her bag, the woman in black silently wandered the small cabin. The half blood was asleep on what appeared to have once been a bed, but now resembled that of a few logs wedged under a shuck mattress. The woman in black wandered to the edge of the bed and gazed down at the man's sleeping face. Curiosity clouded her face as she looked on at the male's features. He was definitely mixed; she wondered how a man of his grade and race had managed to scrape by life this long.
'The less of you folk, the better.' The woman in black thought to herself, as she rested her gaze back onto her partner in green that had unfolded the cloth and poured whatever was in the bottle onto the white cotton.
The woman in black got into position, hovering her hands just above the sleeping man's shoulders as the woman in red approached with the rag in her right hand.
Smooth as clockwork, four hands came down on the male. Three holding him in place as one smothered the drugged rag against his mouth and nose.
His eyes opened in alarm as he sluggishly attempted to throw off his attackers with no avail, until his eyes once again shut and his body slumped back down against the shuck mattress.
"Finally." The woman in black said, pulling her bandana off her mouth to hang around her neck. "Restrain the thing, I'll go gather the horses." She said and headed to the door of the cabin, pausing to look at the hand carved lute laying on the table. She picked it up and looked back at her partner with a smile. "A trophy." She said simply and walked the trail back to their horses.
Her superiors would be pleased.
