Jeromes POV

Lachlan and I were watching Preston try to find fear inside himself when suddenly a bang sounded followed by a few thuds, everyone stops and looks to where it came from.

The Physical group are standing shocked and this massive branch that had grew out of the dome of trees surrounding us was on the floor in pieces.

"Sorry guys." Rob says apologetically.
"All good. You ok?" I ask him. He nods but then The Notch duplicate over there stood in from of him.
"That was a good first attempt. Try again." Rob nodded as Notch takes the branch outside with his magic.

"Jerome, Lachlan. Focus." Our Notch says with a stern tone. Lachlan and I snap back our focus to our group. Notch nods when he sees our attention is back.

"Now, Preston. Fear. Fear is the hardest emoting to control so if you can't find it, it's not your fault." Prestons eyes flicker purple-brown-purple-brown before he sighs.

"I'm sorry I can't." Notch nods and beckons me over. I stand up scared for what I need to do. Notch stands in front of me as I settle myself.

"You will need to control your emotions too because animals you shift into are connected to emotions you have, and if those emotions escalate then you could unwillingly shift." I nod.

"Ok so. I need you to focus on anger like Preston did." I nod again and try to focus on anger. For some reason I'm finding it extremely difficult.

I focus on how Herobrine kept us captive for however many years and the fact that he erased all our memories. I felt myself breathing faster, my heartrate increased, and my lower back started to ache.

"You feel it now?" He asks and I nod. "Good now calm down." I nod but for a fleeting second I thought I wouldn't be able to since the memories of being held are so vivid. I take deep breaths and try to calm my heart.

The pain went away and I unclenched my fists that I had unknowingly balled up. "Good! Now. Fear will be too much of a challenge for you at the minute so, reach for sadness" I nod.

"Before I do, what would I turn into if I got too angry?" I look to Notch. "An animal from your realm. A Bacca." I tilt my head in confusion. "Bacca?" Notch nods again.

"It was your tribes natural form actually. Your tribe had to change their appearance because of the humans that they would constantly interact with." Wow, that would make sense.

"That is part of the reason why you just now found it hard to find anger inside of you. You hadn't transformed into your true form yet so it was hard to break through the barrier. Once you control your anger you can change into a Bacca at any time no matter what emotion you feel, meaning that another animal will take angers place."

Notch shakes his head. "Ok, enough talk. Focus on the sadness." I nod and search for a sad memory inside my mind. The only thing that comes up is when Vik told his story. The Sidemen bullying.

I focus on the feeling and I start to shake. "What on earth?" I whisper. Notch just observes. I try to amplify the feeling by going over Viks story over and over again.

I start to violently convulse and Notch puts his hand on my shoulder. "Get angry now!" "I.....can't....." The sadness overwhelms me causing fear to surface.....oh no. "Somethings....... HAPPENING!"

Prestons POV

"Somethings.......HAPPENING!" Jerome shouts and falls to the floor convulsing and his legs seem to be melding together with....scales? "MITCH!" Our Notch shouts and he comes running over. Mitch knows what to do immediately so he kneels down and holds Jeromes arm.

"Come on...... Come on!" Mitch says. Jerome suddenly stops shaking and lies still, and his legs return to normal. I turn to Notch. "Was he turning into a snake?" He nods. "A Xylic to be exact. Another animal from your realm. He must have been scared of them as a kid."

I nod slowly. Notch then speaks again. "Ok, I know that not everyone has started to train today but I think it's best we leave it here. Everyone nods in agreement and Notch melds his two selves back into one and walks off, the tree dome moving out of his way as he leaves.

Rob and Mitch follow and I'm curious as to why but I won't bother. I notice Lachlan head over to Vik and I decide to eavesdrop a little. I move closer till I can hear what they are saying.

"Are you ok?" Lachlan asks. Vik just nods, not saying anything. Lachlan sits cross-legged beside him and continues. "I'm really surprised that Notch doesn't know your tribes power-" Vik interjects. "He does know......he just...." "Won't tell you....."

Notch knows about Viks tribe but isn't telling him? That's cruel. Vik has been through enough so he deserves to know. Is that why Mitch and Rob followed Notch with those determined expressions? I saw them speaking to Vik earlier but didn't think much of it.

I decide to head outside to find the other 3 and eavesdrop. Hehe, this is fun. I find them a little bit away from the dome of trees that is surprisingly well hidden by a forrest that seems to have thickened the last time I was out here.
