Caliban

I see her body fall at the speed of lightening and hit the ground.

"SERA!" Sabrina and I scream in unison

The impact caused a gust explosion and everyone including me gets knocked over. In fact it made my ears ring a high pitched sound and I felt so dizzy I could fall over but I needed to get to her, so ignore all my pain because I'm pretty sure she's in more.

I run over to sera body which is looking pretty lifeless.

I kneel besides her body. She has blood coming out of her nose and a cut on her forehead, I try to get her to wake up. She groans but doesn't open her eyes. Ok good she's not dead.

"Is she okay?" Sabrina says running over

I see that everyone is starting to regain consciousness.

"I don't know, but we need her out of here!" I say to Sabrina

Sabrina nods "you take her back to hell, we can handle things here, I don't think we'll take that much longer to get rid of these bitches."

"Are you sure?" I ask her

She nods

I nod and pick up her floppy body and take her back to my room.

Sera

I wake up and see that I am no longer at the carnival. My whole body is burning and feels like it's shutting down.

I turn my head and see that I am in Caliban's room and he is sitting in a chair that he dragged beside his bed and is holding my hand , his eyes where closed and he was snoring softly. He had dirt all over his face and locks of hair.

I let go of his hand softly trying to not wake him up and sit up, but instantly regret it when a sharp pain goes through my head, making me wince

Caliban's eyes shoot open.

"Sorry" I apologise to him

He rubs his eyes and runs a hand through his hair

"Why are you sorry? You literally just knocked everyone out! It was badass" he says

I give a small smile

"Is it over yet? Did we win?" I ask him

"Not yet." He says

I get up out of his bed and start to put my shoes back on

"Whoa whoa whoa, where do you think your going?" He asks me trying to get me to lay back down again

"I need to go help them, I can't just leave them!" I tell him

"You've already helped enough! More than enough!" He says

I sigh and flop back down from the bed

I wipe my nose and see that there is dry blood everywhere. It's on my head too.

"I sent Marsha to go and get Vanessa and Janessa to come help you clean yourself up, they should be here soon" he says to me

I was going to tell him that I didn't need help cleaning up but right now I didn't want to fight.

I nod

"I'll be fine here, you should go back and check on everyone else." I say

"No I want to stay with you!" He says getting on the bed beside me

I turn around and lay my head on his chest and put my arm around his big build.

"I know you do, but I'm fine and your sister is around some where. I'll just hang with her. I just want you to be a great king and go and help out your people" I say

"But I want to be a good boyfriend too" he says stroking my hair

"You can be a good king and a good boyfriend at the same time, so go" I tell him

He lets out a sigh "okay, but only because you asked me to"

We lay in this position until the doors of his room open and in walks Vanessa and Janessa

"Oh miss sera! You look terrible!" Vanessa says

Janessa hits her on the shoulder

"She means, you look beautiful and we are here to help you clean up some injuries" Janessa says

I laugh

"Hey guys, it's totally fine. I probably do look like shit"

I sure felt like it. I let go of Caliban and roll out of the bed. He does the same

"I'll see you soon" he says

"Be safe" I tell him and give him a big hug

After a long shower and Vanessa and Janessa cleaning my cut on my head, I put on a white t shirt dress with a jumper around my waist and go to find Carrie

I hear some music playing down the hallway in her room

I knock on her door and the music softens and I hear her footsteps come to the door

When she opens the door and sees me she smiles widely

"Come in!" She says and I walk in

Her room had clothes thrown everywhere and he bed was full off magazines lying around

"Sorry it's a bit messy!" She says embarrassed

"It's totally fine" I say laughing and walking over to her bed picking up one of her magazines

We sit down on her bed

"So what happening?" She asks me

"Well I would say we are currently winning" I say

"Good" she says and smiles

I look at one of her teen magazines

"How to French kiss your boyfriend?" I ask her reading the headline of the magazine

She laughs "soooo, what are human high school boys like?" She asks curious

"Well, some of them are good, some of them aren't so good" I say to her

"Do you know any that you could introduce me too?!" She asks eyes wide

I think for a second "I've seen a few cute boys around your age in Greendale, I could definitely introduce you" I laugh

"Ooo, goodie!" She says "what's your top 3 favourite romance movies?"

"Easy the notebook, titanic, 10 things I hate about you. Have you seen them?" I ask her

"Yep, all except the notebook" she says

"What! No, we need to watch it now" I say

"Okay! I'm down, let me just go get vanessa and Janessa to get us some food!" She says running out her room to go find the maids

Was I trying to distract myself from reality? Yes. I was stressed about what everyone was doing now. My family. My friends. My boyfriend. They all need to be okay. For my sake. Sounds selfish. But.

I get the movie ready and Carrie comes back in and jumps on the bed.

"Ok, lets start. I ordered some popcorn, milkshakes and pasta. I hope you don't mind. I forgot to ask you" she says excitedly

"Nope not at all, sound great, but I hope you have some tissues" I say

She hold up a box from her bedside table

I nod and press play

And hour and a half later Carrie and I where both sniffling messes. If anyone walked in now we'd probably look like zombies to them.

Carries doors open and lights turn on.

It was Caliban.

"Carrie? Sera?" He looks at us then at the tv

"Oh not this again" he says

We both laugh still sniffling and throw pillows at him
