All words we use to describe humanity
But what we don't describe it the evil
The hate
The destruction
The corruption
In our souls
Sitting waiting for the right time
We like to think of ourselves as pure
An innocent soul
But in reality we are no better then the animal's we seek to distance ourselves from
Animal's cowering from our shadows
Animal's ready to RIP apart the weak and different
Animal's who grovel in the wake of power
Fighting, killing, murdering for our desires
Willing to destroy anything in our way
Willing to betray our mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters
All for what?
Power
Power is fleeting
Power only lasts as long as a house of cards
It can topple with only one wrong step
Once we show imperfection
We become just as undesirable as the weak and different
The one's we seeked to destroy
Thrown to the wolves
The same ones we sought to tame
The animals we thought we were above
Stuck in an endless loop
We destroy everything in our path
Be it our loved ones or the land
Leaving in our wake scarred land and broken hearts
Leaving the people around us scarred beyond measure
Forever scared of the touch of another human simply because they were hurt by anothers greed
The land from where we came we destroyed
Our thanks to its nurturing
To the food it gave us
To the homes it provided
Our thanks is to turn green fields into seas of concrete
To turn lush forests into barren land
To kill animals not for food but for show
For fun to pass the time
Never having a second thought
Never thinking
Never worried
Never knowing
About how it hurts
How it affects the world around us
Knowing or unknowingly
We are poisoning the places we live and the people we care about
Sadly until more people care our days on this planet are numbered
