TAYLAH’S POV

“Oi slut,” I called across the supermarket aisle, making an old lady look absolutely scandalized. Maeve turned around from halfway down the aisle in front of us. Thank god, because I was only about 60% sure it was her.

She turned to the woman she was with along with two young kids and said something to her before coming towards Georgia, Tyrone, Brock and I. The old lady watched her go disdainfully.

“Fancy seeing you here,” she grinned as I hugged her. “I didn’t know that people as famous as What About Tonight did their own grocery shopping.”

“Oh they don’t,” Georgia rolled her eyes. “They did try to get us to come while they stayed home and played video games.”

“MAEVE!” Christian, Mitchel and Luke chose that moment to turn into our aisle. Christian and Mitch ran up and hugged her like little kids while Luke walked up behind them.

“You come to the supermarket alone often?” Christian asked.

“No, I’m here with my auntie and her kids,” she explained.

“Aunty Muffy?” Luke asked. She spent a lot of time with her aunt and cousins. In the couple of months we’d know her we’d heard more about them than her immediate family, hell, we didn’t even know her parents’ names.

“Yeah she uh, I kind of help her out a lot looking after her kids,” she seemed a little awkward, more so than usual at least. “You know, single mum with two young children. “

“Well do you want to take a break and come grab lunch with us?” I suggested. “We’ll drop you home afterwards.”

“Um, I don’t know,” she said unsurely. “Actually, yeah sure. Let me just go and ask, alright?”

“We’ll meet you in fruit and vegies,” I called after her and we set off.

She caught up with us a couple of minutes later while we were picking up some apples. She was all good so we made our way around the rest of the shop getting everything we needed. We met a couple of the boys’ fans in the confectionary aisle and we walked ahead while they stopped to talk.

“So, any advancement on Operation Titch?” I asked Tay suggestively, wiggling my eyebrows. She blushed a little and busied herself looking at the magazines.

“She’s still too shy to make any serious moves,” Georgia answered for her and Tay elbowed her.

“I am not shy,” she said stubbornly. “It’s just… you know, he doesn’t think of me like that. It’s just little bits of flirting to him, nothing more serious.”

“Well make it serious,” I said encouragingly. “I for one think he’s totally into you. I’m pretty sure everyone can tell.”

“Yes but you’re insane,” she laughed. “Trust me he’s not –”

“Oooh, what’s the goss?” Tyrone said in a girly voice, coming up and putting an arm around Georgia and I. We just looked to each other, rolled our eyes and kept walking.

“Table for seven thanks,” Brock asked the waitress at our favourite little café down the main street. She led us to a table in the corner and we all sat down and ordered our usuals.

“I’m almost at ten thousand followers on twitter,” I announced proudly.

“Good job,” Brock congratulated me. “Speaking of twitter, everyone smile.”

He held up his phone and we all crowded together and pulled faces. He snapped a picture and pulled his arm back down to instagram and tweet it. I got both notifications and checked instagram first.

“Movie night tonight or what?” Tyrone asked around.

“Can’t sorry,” Maeve said quickly. “I have to stay home and help out my mum.”

“Whatever loser, your loss,” Georgia said jokingly and Maeve laughed. We finished our lunch and went out to the car. Brock and Tyrone took the front seats, Georgia, Maeve and I took the middle and Christian, Mitchel and Luke took the back.

“You at least have to come hang out with us tomorrow,” Christian said as Maeve went to get out.

“We’ll see,” she smirked and jumped out, waving once before running up to the front door and going inside.

We ended up back at home all just lounging around. Georgia and I were up in my room listening to music and lying over my bed while the boys were spread all over the house doing whatever it is that boys do. I was reading a Dolly magazine hanging upside down over the edge of the mattress.

My phone rang on the bed and I signaled for Georgia to pick it up and put it on loudspeaker.

“What’s up?” I sat up and rolled over onto my stomach to check the caller ID. “Mitchel? You’re down the hall, why are you calling me.”

“We’re bored!” Chorused Mitchel and Christian together. Of course they were together. “What are you guys doing?”

“Nothing really,” Georgia answered, still painting her nails. “Just chilling.”

“Can we come over?” Christian asked.

“What from two doors over?” I laughed. “Are you sure you’re up for the journey?”

“Don’t get smart with me missy,” Christian burst through the door with his arms crossed. He stormed in and fell cross legged on the mattress beside Georgia. Mitch followed him in and sat at my desk.

“We’re bored out of our minds,” Christian complained. “Can we go do something?”

“What are you suggesting?” Georgia asked.

“Why don’t we go visit Maeve?” Mitchel suggested. “We’ll ask Brock to take us, and I’m sure Luke won’t disagree, if you know what I mean.”

“I can’t see why not,” I shrugged. I dialed Brock’s number. Okay, so maybe we’re all really easy. When he answered I told him our plan and he said why not, so we all jumped up and ran downstairs to the car.

“Are you planning on telling her that we’re coming?” Luke asked.

“Nah, we’ll surprise her,” I decided. “She’ll love it.”
