Feel like this story is flopping..
I was so excited for this storyline
Bummer :(Just added this collage I made, make sure to follow me on Instagram, @mendessdivine
Assistants hovered around me like flies, pinning everything in place and styling my hair and doing my nails all at once.
Time was ticking. I was going to be married in 2 hours.
Always thought this day was going to be special. With my parents smiling and telling me that I looked beautiful and that I would always be their little girl.
That I had grown up so fast and they wished me the best. That I would have a kind, loving, and supportive husband that would treat me right.
I didn't want this. This money, this power, what does it bring to me?
An unhappy bride, a cold father, a dead mother, and an arrogant, rude husband.
All for what, greed? Fame? Power? Not worth it.
Wish there were refunds in life.
"You ready?" Melissa asked. I nodded silently. "Come onnn girl, smile! You're getting married, you look stunning," she nudges me and I break out into a grin. "He's going to get knocked off of his feet when he sees you," Melissa smiles.
She was the only person I told about the contract. The only person I trusted to keep the secret, as I just couldn't hide such a big thing from my best friend.
She was my bridesmaid, along with 2 of the less annoying models that dad chose for me.
None of my friends were invited besides her.
None of my real friends anyway.
I eyed the group of models my father had invited on behalf of me. They were all rude and criticize me.
From behind the curtain, I could also see some others in the crowd. Some very handsome males and some of Shawn's friends as well.
"Stop peeking," Melissa swats my hand away and I smile at her.
"We're just waiting for your dad," my best friend spoke, rolling her eyes.
"Why's he late?" I ask, the question floating in the air, waiting for someone to answer it.
"He got a call," one of the assistants spoke, touching up my lipstick and a strand of hair that was out of place.
A call. Of course.
He arrived moments later, giving me a curt nod, "You look beautiful."
Somehow, when he said it, it didn't sound genuine as it should have.
I wrap my arm around his as I walk down the aisle.
Shawn looked incredible, even though I hate to admit it.
His simple, back suit with white shirt underneath showed off his great physique, his curly brown hair styled and his brown eyes shimmered. His gaze was fixed on me, and me only.
I let go of my father as I turned to the front, facing Shawn in all of his glory. Our eyes never left each other, and I saw the hint of a smile from beneath my sheer veil.
We exchanged vows with one another, and I don't know why I feel nervous.
"You may now kiss the bride," the priest speaks, stepping out of the way.
Shawn leans closer, his hot breath fanning my faze as his gaze drops to my lips.
His coarse hands grip my cheek as he leaned in, pressing his lips against mine.
