We're One, Forever

Chapter - 8 : Moments

We went to the party. Vineet was irked but I knew it was important for both of us. I was talking to one of my friends. And at the same time, his action surprised me. I saw him playing the piano. He loved playing the piano, but I didn't know about his current state. But to my surprise, he was playing it well. He was healing. All the guests' eyes were on him.

He stood up from his place and came towards me. He held my hands. I looked at him and I could find care and love in his eyes. He twirled me around and started singing. He bore his eyes straight in mine and I downed my gaze. I can't bear his intense stares and I have to look away every time he looks at me with higher intensity.

Kaise mujhe tum mil gayi, kismat pe aaye na yakin
Utar aayi jheel mein, jaise chaand utarata hai kabhi
Houle haule, dheere se

I smiled at him, as he kept his hand on my waist and we swayed to the tunes. Other people also joined us.

Gunguni dhup ki tarah se tarnnum main tum
Chhuke mujhe gujari ho yun
Dekhu tumhe, ya main sunun
Tum ho sukun, tum ho junun
Kyun pehle na aayi tum
Kaise mujhe tum mil gayi, kismat pe aaye na yakin

He pulled me closer towards himself. I kissed his head  softly.

Main toh yeh sochta tha,
ke aaj kal uparwale ko fursat nahi
Phir bhi tumhe banaake woh, meri nazar mein jad gaya
Rutbe main woh aur badh gaya

I smiled at him. He has always considered me as his blessing. But I couldn't think of my life without him. I touched his forehead with mine.

Badle raaste jharne aur nadi, badale dip ki tim tim
Chhede zindagi dhun koi nayi, badli barkha ki rimjhim
Badlengi rituye ada, par main rahungi sada
Usi tarah teri baaho mein baahe daalake, har lamaha, har pal

He smiled as I entangled my fingers with his. He again twirled me around.

Jindagi sitaar ho gai, rim jhim malhaar ho gai
Mujhe aata nahi kismat pe apani yakin
Kaise mujhko mil gayi tum..

We stopped as the tune ended. I was elated. He's getting back to his form. Maybe, he will be fine and will join our office. I had already planned that we'd work together once he will be well. And I feel that my Vineet will be back to me. I don't care of the lost memories, we'll make some good memories.

Meanwhile, I felt a tug in my hand, and saw Vineet calling me. Since it was anniversary party of our friends, we wished them and after having dinner, we left the party.

"Thanks Vineet." I said.

"For everything." I continued when he looked at me.

Suddenly, he took a U turn. I was shocked.

"kahan ja rahe hai hum?" I asked.

"Ice Cream khane. You promised me. Tum bhul gayi?" he asks and stops the car.

I looked around and found that he brought me to our favorite icecream parlor. I was elated. Maybe he remembered it. We went in and got our ice creams. Soon, it started to drizzle. I chuckled.

" Vineet, jaldi chalo, time se ghar jaate hai. Kahin barish tez na ho jaye." I said.

He agreed, we settled in the car and left for home. I sighed when we reached home. He parked the car and we went in. I asked him to change while I made some hot coffee. I took the tray to our room and found him drying his hair. I asked him to savor his coffee and went to change. Ten minutes later, I came out and found him standing in the balcony. I hugged him placing my head on his back. He turned around and embraced me in his arms.. After a long while, I was getting his warmth without asking. Suddenly, he lifted me in his arms, and moved towards the bed, while I was surprised at his words.
