Black. It was pitch black. Just then, there was a voice. "Dad? Dad, no!" A little boy screamed. A loud slap woke you up, making you spring up. You were breathing heavily as a feeling of anxiety and confusion rushed over you. Why in the hell were you dreaming about that? Who was that little boy? All throughout the time that you were getting dressed, questions rushed through your head and they were mainly about the dream. Eventually, it became something that had faded from your mind.
You had arrived at your lovely workspace and was greeted by Louis, per usual. "Hey, (y/n)! I gathered more information on that patient of yours. Uhh, Caleb Finn, is it?" You nodded, "Yeah, what do you know?" He explained, "Well it appears that he has about 5 personalities. Austin, Blake, Evan, Clark, and...Damien. If you want, we could discuss this information over lunch later?"
When he asked that, he looked at you with a gleam in his eyes. The same gleam he had when you were dating in high school. You blush and chuckle, saying, "Well...you know, Louis. I have some paperwork to tend to and I'm on deadline." You could tell the look in his eyes faded and began to get clouded with slight sadness. "Oh, come on (y/n). We haven't gone out to lunch in so long. You're so devoted to your work and as impressive as it is, you gotta get your head out the papers. You're gonna give yourself a paper cut." You snicker at the corny joke and sigh. "I'll see if I can put a slight hold on my deadline and make some time. You're right, we haven't had a day out together in a long time." A slight smile appeared on Louis face. "Alright, but you owe me for flaking on this one." He said before walking off. You chuckled and then sighed, feeling slightly bad that you turned your friend down. It had been a long time since you spent some time with him, but it was no bother. "You had other matters to tend to." You thought as you stared at the file in your hand. You put it in your bag for later and headed to Caleb's room.
You stepped to his door and took a deep breath, hesitant before you walked in. You expected to see a a ruffed up boy when you walked in, but it wasn't. It was Caleb, but more...proper looking. He wore a sweater vest, black dress pants, and Chesterton brown shoes. He turned to look at me and flashed a warm smile. "Hello there. I don't believe we've met before. My name is Clark." He said, holding out his hand. You took it and shook it, taken aback slightly by his appropriate behavior. Although that wasn't an excuse to let your guard down, as you were very skeptical. This act wouldn't last very long and you knew it, but of course, you played along. "Hello, Clark. I'm-" He interrupted, "Ah, no need to introduce. My colleagues have informed me about you and told me all about you. I must say I am quite fascinated by you and you look...absolutely..." His words trailed off, indicating that he was having a switch. You watched him blink and look at you seductively. You blushed darkly and tried to pull your hand away, but before you did he pulled you close to him. "Why hello there, beautiful~" he said, looking at your lips then in your eyes. You clear your throat and say, "Excuse me? You do realize that-" "Shhhh. No time for words. Don't let them ruin our moment." He said, interrupting you by putting a finger to your lips. You furrowed your brows, trying to hide the creeping embarrassment that was filing inside of you.
You hesitate before slowly pulling his finger away. "Um...alright then. I hope you realize that I'm only here to help you with your condition, Mr. Finn. We must keep this relationship professional." He licked his lips and looked you up and down, saying, "Well I'm very professional at what I do. All you gotta do is lie back and let me do my job." You shoved him away. "I'm not sure if this is another side or if he's extremely excited to see me." You thought. You kept your composure and sighed. "Let's proceed with this appointment, please?" You said as you sit him and yourself down. You pull out your clipboard and look through the names of personalities that were listed. So why don't you introduce yourself?" You say as you look up at him. You could see in his eyes that he was excited and it sort of tempted you to try something. But you fought temptation because your job would be on the line if you didn't. "I'm Evan and you are extremely beautiful, might add." He said. You wrote down your first note, "Narcissistic and flirtatious behavior." as you said, "Continue, please." "Well you're just so interested, aren't you? I'm not surprised as I am the most interesting person there is. You know, I was in a broadway production. The light shined bright on me and I dazzled the crowd with my amazing talent and sex appeal." As he talked, you wrote down many notes. He elaborated on how he was, how he said, the greatest showman. Everyone knew him and he had never met one person who didn't. He supposedly is a famous actor and an...entertainer, if you know what I mean. Eventually, you thought that you had everything that you needed when you saw him zone out. He looked at you and he seemed normal. He flashed a soft smile and held out his hand, politely saying, "Hi...I'm Caleb.."
