From that night forward, there wasn't a moment where you weren't checking in on Caleb. At least once a day, you had to stop by the ward to check in. On days where you weren't assigned an appointment with him, you would stay him for at least 10 minutes so he could feel company. When you were assigned appointments with him, he would tell you more about him. You got to know more about his personalities and how they came to be.
As for Louis, you went out with him the day after. Although, you got interrupted by Caleb. At the time, Louis didn't think it was a big deal...or at least he didn't let you know that it was. As time went on, the days where you would go out with Louis and spend time with him would get lessened. Time where you and Louis would be eating at your favorite pizza place or shopping for new clothes would be replaced with you talking or checking up on Caleb. The only times you would talk to Louis would be in the morning when you first came, but even then it would only be a few words exchanged.
All your time had been full of Caleb whether you were checking on him, working with him, or even thinking about him. Your mind began to think only of him and sometimes your thoughts would go onto the explicit side. So much so that that it began to give you pleasure..
The more you spent time with him, you began to get closer with him. He would open up to you about things and you got to know about his childhood.
His father left him and he was left with his mother. Caleb would ask constantly about what his father was like and who he was, when he was going to meet them but his mother usually ignored his questions about him. Eventually, the well treatment of his mother had made him forget about his father. His mother enrolled them in a high-rated pre-school, allowing Caleb to make a lot of new friends. She had given both children the luxury of having an abundant amount of toys. She took them everywhere and let them have all the fun that they could have. It was as if anything that they wanted, she would work hard to get it for them. Although, a few years later, his mother was diagnosed with lung cancer and months later she had passed. After her funeral, he ended up in foster care . Luckily, their case worker had found his father and Caleb and his sister ended up in the custody of his father.
His father had lived far away from where his mother's house was, so the life that they had made there was ripped away from him just as much as it already was. For a few months, it was okay for them and was mainly full of them both adjusting to the new environment. It was very difficult though with the way his father was though. Neither of the children didn't know who he was, but they soon got to know him...the dark side of him.
Caleb was enrolled into a low-rated school, full of the worst teachers. He had barely gotten any work done and eventually began failing all of his classes. The stress of that weighed on him along with the taunting and constant bullying the other student brought onto him. There wasn't a day where Caleb wasn't made fun of. It would be about anything; his hair, clothes, voice, body, weakness, the fact that he had no one besides his sister. They would even go as far as making fun of his mother, not caring about the fact that she was dead. Everyday after school they would shove him and beat him up, making him come home with bruises and cuts all over his body.
When Caleb was at home, life didn't get any better than that. His father was barely ever home, leaving the kids at home along with each other. They didn't know how to cook so they would either eat some snacks that they would find around the house or not eat at all. Lunch at school was the only thing that they eat, so they would take some food from there and save it for when they got home. That wasn't much though...
