The door slammed shut after Kokichi left, I couldn't help but feel like I did something wrong. I felt like we were actually bonding before Kaito and Maki walked in. I know that he probably lied to me. He wanted to ask me something, but what was it? I only heard, "Wanna play?" before he got cut off by Kaito and Maki. Probably for the best. I mean he said himself that he was only planning on lying to me. Or was that a lie?
Kaito put his hand on my shoulder. "Hey dude, what was that about?" I jumped and turned to Kaito.
"Oh nothing, Kokichi was just acting strange. I was just trying to figure out why." I decided to lie to him. I know that was Ouma's thing, but I didn't want to say anything about what actually happened before I knew what was going on.
"He's always acting strange." Maki said quietly. Maki hated Kokichi more than anyone. I don't know why. I guess she can't handle his games.
After a while everyone else arrived for breakfast. Keebo and Kokichi were the only ones who weren't here. The rest of us sat where we normally sat and ate the food that Kirumi prepared for us. When I was enjoying the food, Kirumi walked up to me.
"Shuichi, do you happen to know where Kokichi and Keebo are?" She said very politely. She was always polite. I don't know why I was surprised, she is the SHSL Maid.
"No I don't, but I can go looking for them, I'm not that hungry." I said standing up. This was my opportunity to see what Kokichi wanted to ask me.
She smiled, holding a plate full of food. I guessed it was for Ouma. "I'll go visit Kokichi. Can you go check on Keebo?" I nodded. Well, there goes my plan. I would try to change her mind, but some people are already looking at us.
I nodded my head and walked out of the Dining Hall to find Keebo. Afterwards, I can try to find Kokichi. I walked to his room and knocked on his door a couple of times. I guess he wasn't there. I wandered around outside to see Keebo walking out of the area with the casino and Love Hotel. I called his name and he came over.
"Good morning Shuichi!" He said happily. "What are you up to?" Maybe he may know where Ouma is.
"Well, Kirumi wanted me to check on you... and umm..." Why was I nervous? It was just a simple question. Keebo started at me waiting on my response. "H-Have you seen Kokichi?" That was a lot harder to say than expected.
He nodded his head. "Yes I did. He came to the casino earlier. Although I don't know where he went afterwards. I would guess his room to pick up his prize."
I smiled, "Thank you." I walked away and went to Kokichi's room. When I arrived at the dormitory, I saw Kirumi just leaving. She didn't have her tray anymore. She must have already given him his food. I walked up the stairs and knocked on Kokichi's door.
I looked down to see the short, purple hair boy open the door. "Shuichi? What are you doing here?" He wasn't smiling like he was before. He looked more confused than anything.
"Oh..." I should have probably thought of an excuse. Nevermind, he can see through my lies. I guess I only have the truth. "I came to see you."
Ouma looked more confused, but he started to smile. "Nee-heehee. You miss me already?" How does his emotions change so quickly?
"Umm... yeah. I did." I didn't know how to respond. I guess I kind of did miss him. My response seemed to startle him. "So, can I come in?" I asked. He nodded and opened up the door.
I walked in his dorm room and it was a complete mess. In one corner there was a pile of blueprints and his desk was filled with what looked like notes or letters. Most of them were crumbled into a ball. Near his desk was a whiteboard. On it were everyone's names and notes under them stating how he felt for each of his classmates. I searched for my name, but it wasn;t there. Does he hate me that much? I decided to ignore it for now and continued to look around. The only neat part of his room was his bed. It was all tucked in and a black teddy bear sat in the middle.
Ouma sat down on the bed after opening it for me. "Soooo, why did you wanna see me?" He started kicking his legs.
"Oh... I um..." I couldn't seem to speak, so I took a deep breath and decided to restart my sentence. "I wanted to see what you were up to." Kokichi just stared at me for a bit. "And I wanted to see what you were going to ask me earlier." I let out a small laugh.
He went back to his normal self. "Hm? Didn't I say I was planning on lying to you? Are you here to use your detective skills and sniff out the lie?" He questioned.
"No." I said firmly. "I don't believe you lied and if so then yes, I do want to know the truth."
He sighed, "Fine then, I won't lie. All I was going to ask you was if..." Finally I get to figure out what he was going to ask me. "You wanted to play a game." Really? I came here for a game? "Nee-heehee. I bet you thought it was going to be more exciting, but nope. I was just bored and a game sounded fun."
"Do you still want to play? I have a lot of free time today." I sat down next to him.
"I just wanted to play Rock-Paper-Scissors. Although there is a twist..." His voice became deeper as he creepily grinned. "We shall play a game everyday until one of us loses. If you lose, I kill you-"
"Wait what?!" I interrupted. Kill me? Why would he want to do that? This isn't some sort of twisted killing game. He can't be serious, can he? He is the SHSL Supreme Leader. Maybe this is what happens in his organization. Still, it seems too twisted to be true.
He nodded, "Yap I'll kill you if you lose. However, if you win, I promise not to lie to you anymore." He held out his hand for me to shake it. Although I'm probably going to lose, if I win I can finally see the true him and not the mask he's been hiding behind. I can also ask why he wanted to kill me in the first place or what the whiteboard was for and why my name isn't on there. Now thinking about it, he could have already planned to kill me. Therefore he took my name off of the whiteboard.
I nodded and shook his hand. If anything, Monokuma can just stop him from killing me. Right? He did say that this was exposed to be a killing game. Maybe he hasn't changed his mind yet.
"Alrighty then." We both made a fist and put it in our palm. "Are you ready?"
I sighed, then nodded. Kokichi started the game. We played for about an hour. After 150 games, (He was counting) we decided to stop. Neither of us one. Every game ended in a tie. How can every game end in a tie? That's impossible. Right?
