I woke up in a dorm room. At first, I thought it was mine, until I saw the mess around the bed. It was actually Kokichi's room. Why was I here? Did he bring me here after I passed out? I sat up. My head was still pounding. I looked around to see Kokichi was in the room. He wasn't. I forced myself to stand and looked around. I saw my hat on his desk next to the pile of notes. I know it was wrong to look through other people's stuff, but I needed to know the truth about him.

I picked one up and quickly read through it. It seemed like a love letter. I couldn't tell who it was for, but I could tell Kokichi really did love them. I also found out how poetic Ouma can be. The letters were very romantic and very beautiful. I put the letter down and continued to look around.

I looked at the whiteboard, still trying to figure out the truth on why my name isn't on it. I noticed that he wrote a lot of mean things about the other students. I was a bit worried to see what he wrote about me. I turned the board over to see that more was written. However, it seemed like some sort of plan. A lot of the writing was erased. The parts I was able to read were:

Make Him Like You

4. Recreate Game
5. Become Besties

7. Stop Lying (mostly)
8. Give Love Letter

10. Kiss him!

All I was able to figure out from the writing that Kokichi likes someone, and he made a plan to get them to like him back. However, I can't tell who it was. It had to be one out of eight of the male students, but who was it? I looked back at the board trying to get some sort of hint. That's when I noticed something. Number 4; Recreate Game. It looks like that's the next step in his plan. I remember playing a game with Kokichi, but he said the game was because he was bored. This game looks planned. If I can find out who he likes, I can help him get their attention.

As I was trying to figure out what this all meant, I heard someone walking outside of the dormitory. I immediately flipped the board back over and sat back onto the bed. Ouma opened the door, holding a tray with a bowl and plate on it. He seemed tired.

He saw me sitting on his bed and put a smile on his face. "Looks like someone's finally awake."

"Oh, umm... Hey Kokichi." I pretended to act like I just noticed him. However, I was really bad at lying, so he might catch on right away.

"I brought you some soup and-" He yawned. "some cookies. I didn't know what you liked to eat, but if you want something else, I can get it for you." He placed the tray next to me and sat down. There were dark circles under his eyes, but he kept his positive attitude.

I ignored the food and started questioning him. "Are you alright? You look exhausted. Did you get enough sleep last night?"

His smile widened. "Aww are you worried about me? Well Saihara-Kun, I was busy last night, but I did get enough sleep. " Even though I knew that was a lie, that wasn't the thing that concerned me.

"What did you call me?" I looked at him confused.

"Hmm?" His smile disappeared as he pressed his finger against his cheek. "I thought you would like it. It's a cute nickname for you. Don't ya think?"

"I guess so, but why can't you just call me by my first name? I thought I already said it was okay. You don't need to come up with a nickname." What I said made him smile again, but this time the smile was genuine. Maybe this was a good time to fit in what I learned from the board. "So," I continued. "Why were you up so late last night?"

He yawned again. "I just wasn't tired at the time."

I sighed, "Don't lie to me Kokichi."

He started laughing. "Nee-heehee! Was it that obvious? Maybe I should get some sleep if you can point out my lies."

That was kind of rude. "Just tell me the truth." I started to get annoyed with this constant lying. Maybe if it wasn't all the time, I'd be fine with it.

"Fiiiiine." He rolled his eyes at me. His child-like persona disappeared before continuing. "I was planning a special surprise for someone." Surprise? Could it be for the person on the board?

"What was the surprise?" I knew I couldn't ask who it was for, he would just lie to me.

"Oh, it was nothing." Kokichi laid back on the bed. "I was just trying to set up a game to play since I was getting kinda bored.."

"Really? What game is it?" I asked. I wanted to find some sort of clue that can help me find this mysterious person.

"The knife game. It's one of my favorites. I'm really good at it, ya know?" He put his hands behind his back and had a large smile on his face.

"Isn't that game sort of dangerous? You can get hurt." I raised my voice, trying to make my point. His hands fell and his smile did as well. Ouma stared at me in curiosity. He opened his mouth to say something, but someone came bursting through the door.

"Kokichi, I'll get you for this..."
