Miu and I stood up to go to her research lab. Before we left, I pecked Shuichi on the cheek as I told him goodbye. I didn't see his reaction, but Miu sure did. "Pooichi's face was priceless. You'd think he'd never been kissed before." She laughed. He probably didn't. Plus, I took him by surprise.

"He's just not used to me kissing him in public." I put my hands behind my head as I continued walking.

"So," Miu started looking around when we made it outside. "Have you two been to the Love Hotel yet?" She pointed to the wall covering the Love Hotel.

"Nope, it's too unpredictable. I don't want to accidentally get you instead of my beloved." I made sure to put emphasis on 'you'. Monokuma should have really made the Love Hotel where you can select who you wanna see. Even so, I already went there with Shuichi, even if he doesn't remember it, so I can't go back.

Miu seemed to ignore my insult. She just continued walking until we reached her Ultimate Lab. I followed her into the building and she took a small invention of hers out of a cabinet. "By the way, why do you need a lie detector?" It may seem weird for a liar to have a lie detector, but it was really for Shuichi. If he does win the games, I'll give him this so he can see through my lies. Plus, it helps when I lie in public or if I lie without realizing it.

"Oh, I just want to have some sort of device for when everyone doesn't believe me." I lied. I snatched the device off the table.

Miu smiles. "Oh ya, I also finished this." She handed me a pink bomb with a blue mouse head on the side. It was an Electro bomb. It allows me to take out any electronic device within the radius. Therefore, Monokuma can't intervene.

"Yay! Now I can destroy Monokuma." I started throwing the bomb in the air and catching it. It was obviously a lie.

"Why would you wanna destroy him? We have a whole school to ourselves." She sighed. "Only if he put us on a beach. Then, everyone would be able to see me in my gorgeous body in a bikini. Even you would be impressed." She smiled, resting her head on her hand.

"That would never happen. First of all, I hate salt water. Secondly, I don't believe someone as ugly as you would ever look good in a bikini. Thirdly, I'm gay, so deal with it." I put the Electro bomb in my pocket. I think this may have been the first time I told Miu the truth.

Miu jumped up. "Exactly! I'll be so hot, you'll turn bi." She put her hands on her hips and widely smiled towards me.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. Anyways, I should go back to Saihara-Kun. He's probably waiting for me." I smiled.

I started walking to the door when I heard Miu shout something before I left. "Come back whenever you want." I slammed the door behind me. Why would I come back unless I needed something from her? We only talk when she's hanging out with Keeboy. Poor boy, he has to deal with Miu flirting with him. I'm surprised he was able to make her stop cursing. Maybe, he can make her stop being so full of herself.

As I was walking, I saw Shuichi talking to Maki and Kaito. I made my way towards them. "Hey guys. What cha talking about?" I rested my hands behind my back. Maki and Kaito looked at me annoyed. It's funny that my crush is best friends with the people who I hate (and who hate me) the most.

Shuichi scratched the back of his neck. His face was bright red. "N-nothing. Anyways, did you get what you need from Miu?"

"Yap! Can we play our game now?" I'll ignore his expression for now.

Kaito stares at me. "What game?"

"It's a secret." I put my index finger in front of my mouth. "Every day, Saihara-Kun and I play fun games. It's almost like a date." I turn to Shuichi, who's turning even redder. It's adorable. Plus, it's so simple to make him blush.

"Sure, Kokichi. Let's go." Shuichi took my hand and walked past Kaito and Maki. He led me upstairs until we reached his Ultimate Lab. He shut the door behind once he pulled me in. "Why?" He sounded angry, yet sad.

"Why what, Saihara-Kun?" I tilted my head.

"Why are you actually pretending to date me? And tell me the truth this time." He turned to me.

Simple, I'm severely in love with you. "I thought it would be a fun game. Plus, Maki needed a reason for why you were in my room."

*BEEP*

I turn around to see the lie detector, which I held behind me, go off. "What's that?" Shuichi asked, walking up to me. He took the device out of my hand. "Is this... a lie detector?"

"Of course not. It just tells me when someone enters the casino. I like to play alone, so this warns me when someone enters." I put a wide smile on my face.

*BEEP*

"Kokichi, I know you're lying. You always smile when you lie." What? He figured out when I lie? That's impossible. "Just tell me the truth, why did you want me to pretend to be your boyfriend."

I didn't answer at first. I was too shocked he knew I was lying, and had evidence to prove it. "I um..." Come on, think of an excuse that isn't considered lying. "I needed a way to come out to everyone." I quickly said, staring at the ground, waiting for the device to go off.

...

...

Good it didn't. What I said wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the whole truth. I did need a way to come out, but only to my friends. It was also a way to get Shuichi to like me. Looks like it didn't work. In fact, he hates me now.

"That's all?" Shuichi asked, surprised. I nodded my head. "Why didn't you tell me that in the first place?"

"I didn't want you to make fun of me for being such a loser." At this point, I've given up on my childish persona. As long as the lie detector is there, I can't lie to him. Might as well throw my mask into the trash. Along with my false confidence.

"I wouldn't have made fun of you, I would have helped you. Especially, I knew you were gay even before you pretended to be my boyfriend."

I looked up at him to see him softly smiling at me. "How?"

"When I was in your room, I saw the other side of the whiteboard."

My eyes went wide. "You what?!" Does he know it's about him?

"Don't worry, I don't know who it's about, but I do know you really care for them." Thank goodness. I wouldn't know how to react if he knew I liked him and never said anything.

"Shuichi, can I ask you something?" I was staring into his beautiful, grey eyes.

"Sure, what is it, Kokichi?" He said, widening his smile.

"What were you, Kaito and Maki talking about earlier?" It seemed like a good time to fit the question in.

"O-Oh." He stares at the lie detector in his hands. I assume he wanted to lie to me before realizing I would notice. He sighed before continuing. "We were actually talking about you."

I tilted my head. "Why?"

I could tell he was trying to figure out what to say. "You see... they didn't believe we were actually together, so I started lying to him, making up a story for why and how we got together. Eventually, Kaito started asking questions and... he wasn't afraid to ask anything." He started scratching the back of his neck again.

"You lied for me?" I asked, feeling my heart melt. He hated me pretending to date him, so Shuichi protecting the lie I created made me like him even more.

"Ya, I guess so." He laughed a bit. My face turned red. That's it, I can't take it anymore. I grabbed his face and pulled it towards mine. Our lips connected for a second, before he pulled back.

"What are you doing?" He pushed me away from him. Oh no, what did I do? His face was filled with

"I'm sorry. I-I thought that you..." Here it comes. Tears started falling down my cheeks. I rushed out of the room, back to my dorm room. I'm never going to get him to like me now.
