The king of Srilanka, Venmaan was very kind and naive towards his citizens. People were mostly traders, they sailed across the countries, voyages lasted for months, traders collected precious gems, jewelry, and unique stones and sell them to rich kings and their families. Once a well known trader popularly known as Chettiar and his son, set a voyage  to buy some rare jewelry. They offered their prayers to Shiva in the well-known temple and the sailors left the coast.
While the priest offered flowers to every sailor, he baffled to see one of a sailor and but he immediately waved to silence the priest and took the flower from his hand. He looked at the chettiar if he noticed this, but he was in deep prayer.

It was a medium boat with many sailors. They had been changing the steering as per the directions of Chettiar's son's directions. But he sensed that winds speed is higher than usual, he insisted that they sail east to avoid any mishaps. They stood on the deck and saw that the clouds were setting down and the wind was setting up the sea on a rupture. Chettiar ordered his sailors to change sail to the east, "stern in the direction immediately!!!"
Sailors pumped hard to change the direction of the boat and stern continuously.. Chettiar shouted..  "use every breath of yours and change the direction now!!"
very soon the rain splattered on the deck creating a ruckus. The wind had fuelled the wave, it was a giant looking wave!! Chettiar stood in the middle of the deck, seeing the giant wave... In no time, the boat was on the whirlpool, but still the sailors propelled violently. But, the giant wave took them under its spell.... the huge thunder striker over, as the ship flipped over!

Ocean bed was calm, miraculously Chettiar son and few sailors made it to the shores of an unknown island.
Birds were chirping on the trees, sea birds flying over in bunch over the ocean in rhythm.
They helped each other to sit under the coconut trees. The mighty sun drained and exhausted them. But, they went in search of food, a sailor noticed that the water was shifting their direction, it should run to the sea right? Chettiar son agreed and followed the stream. Maybe we will will find some help if this leads to a village. The texture of the sand reduced, and a well cultivable soil seemed to be mixed with the sea sand as they moved inside the island.
A sailor touched the soil and confirmed it.
They were determined to see a settlement of tribe, they walked swiftly now!
It started to drizzle and sun was setting down earlier than expected. Completely exhausted, they slept inside a cave. It was dark to move inside the cave so they just halted at the entrance of the cave.

It was second day,  sailors found  tender banana tree, the stem above the root is edible. They all sat and ate the juicy stem and few bananas. The coconut tree was their saviour, usual called the Kalpavriksh, every part of the tress is useful. While another sailor was completely drained and sick, he wasn't used to such harsh weather. He opened his eyes slowly, with hunger stomach buzzing and his tiring muscles refused to move a inch! But he noticed something unusual.. the sunlight on his face was shooting from the cave. He woke up and dragged himself further inside the cave.
It's marvelous! His jaw dropped..
The center of the cave was inscribed with a swastik sign. It had holes drilled in opposite side of the caves to facilitate ventilation. On the corners of the caves were few images of sages in sitting posture and performing their routine work like reading, writing, pouring something on a bowl and other activities. The most spectacular was the swastik sign in the center of the cave.. at mid noon the sunlight from all the ventilation pockets would shoot at the center most point in the swastik sign. The science behind this was impeccable. What were they doing here? How did they built this?
The sailor ran out of the cave, he wanted to share his discovery but he was in utter shock.. when he met his friends who were staring at a Mahalingam in a small sanctum. It was starting to look like a hallucination but it wasn't.
This excitement was pushing them to explore the cave and other sides of the island but they landed on the shores in few hours of walking itself.
Fear mixed with anxiety and excitement, was turning them like nomads.

But, One of the sailor offered some wild forest hibiscus and some water in coconut shell to the Mahalingam. He even recited shlokas and poured water over the lingam in coconut shell, as the water washed down the lingam.. the stone started to shine under the bright sunlight.
The stone used to built lingam was as smooth as butter.
The water clogged at an openings behind the statue, he removed the leaves and dust which was blocking. It was then, he discovered a sequence of pictures engraved on the wall, it was depicting a method or a procedure to prepare something.
But what? Asked Chettiar's son.
They poured some more water and cleaned the inner sanctum, the same swastik symbol! Muttered the sailor but it was glittering.. Chettiar's son scrapped it to confirm his doubt.. he muttered it's gold!!!!!

Omg! How did I miss this?
The cave we found is a workshop, the sages melted the gold and they worked inside the caves for long hours, hence the ventilation pockets were drilled out on the opposite sides and here we see the swastik sign in gold! It's gold that they were preparing!!

Preparing?? asked Bobby.. You mean they digged the gold and melted in the caves??
No!! It's called Swarnam Rasam, it's a liquid which will turn any object as gold. Bobby did not utter a word, John continued....
