As Petros was busy looking at the suitcase that Sirsi's dad gave, he did not understand why he left behind the magnetic balls in a pouch. But, he anyway thought of carrying it whenever they went on a search. But, what puzzled him was the text on the palm leaves, he had written verses that had no connection. It's like stars, water, moon, earth, cotton, cloth, eat, sleep. Things that doesn't make any relationship. He had deciphered so many texts but he couldn't get his head around this one, he had sent a copy of these to his papa as well. But even he hasn't deciphered anything about the texts.
Today they were trekking behind Ramana Maharishi ashram, many people trek here and visit a shiva shrine on the top of the peak. Also, Rudran was advised of some stone pillars on the peak by the head priest that he spoke earlier.
Petros carried his bag pack and was sitting in the hotel restaurant seeing the scanned copies of the palm leaves in his phone, he was interrupted by a beggar who was asking for some food. The hotel owner asked him to come later but he was not leaving the place, and started shouting. Petros had a very kind heart, he immediately stopped the fight and asked the owner to calm down. He then later took the hand of the beggar and asked him to join for breakfast. The beggar was absolutely shabby and was a total disaster, owner did not agree for this initially but Petros was accompanied by Rudresh, periya Chettiar's son. Who has to deny anything they ask for.
Petros gently talked to the beggar about his whereabouts, beggar said he owns everything and he is the king of all!! Petros giggled and said omg! Please don't punish me for anything. He talked in beggar's language itself and comforted him, they ate dose and drank tea.
The waiter brought few biscuits without the owners notice and slid it inside the beggar's bag. Later, rest of them came down and Rudran was speechless looking at Petros dining with a shabby guy! He refused to sit in his table and ordered for the food to be brought to his suite and left without saying anything.Bob called out Rudran as they were waiting for him for an hour, after a while he came down. The local guide also came with them. The heat was unbearable, as they scaled higher and higher the scorching sun made it impossible for them to climb over the mountain, Sirsi was in no good shape to do this. Petros insisted that she takes rest in the hotel while they look for any symbols and if there is any... He will call her. Initially she refused but after scaling 5 Kms, she slipped and fainted. Her blood pressure was dropping, Bobby helped her descend down slowly, he put her down inside the ashram and went out to buy some tender Coconut. It was noon already and they were closing the ashram, she slowly woke up and made way outside the ashram verandah and sat under a tree.
The beggar who they fed morning, saw her and came near her. She slowly opened her eyes to see this creepy beggar but she had no energy and closed her eyes again. Bob was able to get few Oral Rehydration syrup and hurried towards the ashram, by then she had already drank two tender Coconuts and was talking to the beggar. He was dumbstruck and signed the beggar asking where did he get the coconut from??
He said house.. my house!! Bobby started to believe in karma, real life experiences in this journey had changed him entirely.
____&&&_____It was dinner, they all had gathered and sat in utter disappointment. Rudran had considered this treasure hunt as nothing! He had himself conduct many successful excavations, but the days here has been annoying him, it's like he isn't moving any forward and he did not like it this way.
The pillars had nothing?? Asked Sirsi again. This time, Rudran snapped at her saying.. how many times would you ask the same thing??
Sirsi did not like him this way! He gets irritated at silly things.
As they were eating, Sirsi noticed the beggar far from the hotel.
She did not want to trouble anyone, she secretly ordered for another meal parcel and gave it to the beggar sitting outside. But the hotel owner noticed this, "they keep coming if you serve them!" He said.
Sirsi said, "yes only because they are not fed!!"
She fed many homeless people, thinking some way her father would receive this benefit.
She watched the beggar take the parcel and go in the dark.
She couldn't sleep that night,
We searched the temple, ashrams, mountains. Where would the sages leave the ingredient??
Next day morning Rudran had asked them to relax in the room itself as he has something to do personally.
Sirsi knew he was onto something.
After the sun set, she visited the sheshadri ashram again, while she was walking alone towards the ashram she noticed the beggar going ahead of her. For some reason, he had been quite a mystery to her. He never ran to his home to get tender Coconuts but he lied about it to Bob when asked.
She started following this beggar, he was taking a prohibited route behind the mountain. As she went closer, the beggar went inside a room and it had no doors or light.
She suddenly felt guilty for doubting the beggar, maybe he did really run to this place to quench her thirst and she was also drowsy and wouldn't have noticed him run.
