Chapter six: Mendez Brothers

Up until now, hindi ko pa rin alam kung saan ang lalaking yun. Simula kasi nung magising ako, wala na siya. I asked tita Martha where did he go at sinabi na nauna na daw siya. Kasama pa nga daw niya yung lalaki na dati nang pumunta sa unit namin. Kahit hindi pa sabihin ni tita, alam ko naman na si Luthor yun.

Who's other guy got inside our apartment aside from Luthor?

Hindi ako nagaalala sa kalagayan ni Loki dahil alam ko naman na hindi kayang saktan ni Luthor ang kapatid niya. But what I do care about is that when they started arguing like a 7 years old kid in front of many. Laking kahihiyan lang nun sa Mendez.

Loki

"What are you doing here, brother?" there was a bitterness on my voice, "Are you looking for my  vice president?" I didn't wait for him to answer and just walk away.

"Kinda. But I guess, she's still sleeping. I don't want to disturb my girlfriend, so I just decided to wait. " I bet, he have those stupid smirk on his face.

Still, I didn't answer.

While walking, I suddenly felt his presence beside me. "What? I thought you'll gonna wait for her?"

"Actually brother, I have something to tell you."

We both tapped our I.D and got inside. I still ignoring him, not minding how many times he already said 'brother'.

I was going to take a step on stairs up to third floor, but a hand stopped me from doing it so.

I turned my head and see my brother with his pleading face. This is my first time to see him whit that kind of expression. "What do you want?"

"I said, I have something to tell you," I gave him a questioning look, "it's about your dear right hand."

I raised my left eyebrow, "What about Lorelei?"

"It is very important. If you want her to be safe, listen to me."

As soon as I heard the word SAFE, it got my attention. "Let's talk about it inside my club."

"Jamie, just leave the two of us here." she pouted, before taking a step in fron of door. Then, I realize, "Wait," she stopped and look at me with those are you not letting me to go outside? eyes. "Just in case you saw Lorelei, tell her not come here also."

"But what if---"

I cutted her sentence, "And if she asked you why, just tell her I have reasons." she nod and got out.

As for my brother, he is standing in front of me, "You can sit." he did what I said.

After a second of silence, I put my elbow on the table and put the head of my fingers together. I look at him with my usual bored eyes.

"First of all, I want to clear something. Me and Lorelei are not in a relationship, I was just joking at that time and told her to act like one. But I guess, her acting skills is not that good."

"You? Joking? Unbelievable." I smirk, "I know. I already know." I paused for a second. "So back to the real topic you want to discuss."
