Chapter ten: Q.E.D Four

Third person p.o.v

"Sad... But still okay for me. At least she is alive.. " the guy said on the phone, "So what is your brother's expression when he saw the blood coming out from his precious chronicler? It must have been a nice show."

The other man just sighed, "Whatever." he just says before hanging up.

"Why are you still here?" the man with messy black hair and usual bored tone asked when he saw his brother at the parking lot of the hospital.

"Waiting." Luthor, who is now walking towards their car with their personal driver waiting for them to arrive.

Loki shook his head and soon followed his brother. When he saw his brother on the back seat, he takes the passenger seat, not wanting to be seated next to the person he despise, second to Moriarty.

The ride was pretty silent. No one dared to talk or even look at each other. Mr. Vasquez, the driver, is already used to this kind of atmosphere so even him shut his mouth.

They soon arrive at the Henson Apartment where Loki is staying. Nang makarating siya siya sa kanilang unit at buksan ang pinto, isang babae na naka-braid ang buhok ang nadatnan niya.

The girl immediately ran up to him, "Are you surprise, Loki dear?" Jamie clung her hands on him, "Bakit nga pala ganiyan ang outfit mo? And nasaan si Lorelei?"

Loki throws himself at the sofa and Jamie sat beside him. "I'm tired, Jamie. I want to sleep."

"Eh what happened ba kasi?" Loki still did not answer. "Loki dear, you look so distressed. Did something bad happened?" Jamie ask one more time in a gentle voice.

Loki stared blankly at the ceiling, "Lorelei..." he closed his eyes, "She's in the hospital, that's why I'm not going to school tomorrow."

Nanlaki ang mata ni Jamie, "W-what? Paano nangyari yon Loki dear?"

Loki gets up, "As i said, I'm tired. I want to sleep and you should go home."

"But I'm planning to sleep here, nagdala nga ako ng damit."

"Whatever.."

Jamie sighed as she saw Loki shut the door.  She stay at the sofa for the couple of minutes before stood up and followed the man. When she got inside, nakita niya na may harang ng unan ang tabi ni Loki habang yakap naman nito si Theodore. Jamie laid on the other side of the bed and faced Loki only to see his back.

Minutes has passed but she is still fully awake so she decided to take a drink at the kitchen. Dahan-dahan siyang lumabas ng kuwarto upang hindi magising ang lalaki na mahimbing ang tulog.

Nang matapos niyang uminom ng tubig ay napatingin siya sa pinto ng kwarto ni Lorelei. Out of curiosity, she opened the door and look inside. This is the first time na nakapasok dito. The pen on the side table caught her attention. She pick it up and stared at the name 'LORELEI' on it.

'Ah, right. Loki dear gave this to her. And seems like Lorelei takes a good care on this..'  Jamie thought. She sadly smiled, 'I wish Loki dear also gave me something. I don't care what is it, I will gladly accept it, basta galing kay Loki dear..'
