Noah's POV

"oh.. Noah!" Richelle said, rather surprised. I gave Ozzy a slight nod as greeting, which he returned, then I focused my attention back on, Richelle.

"So, the happy couple, am I right?" I asked curiously, praying they were just friends.

"Us? A couple? No way!" Richelle joked. Ozzy then lifted his arms in the air as if to 'suggest' something.

"Well, we're not dating... yet." he argued back, giving Richelle a slight wink, causing her to roll her eyes.

"Yeah.. Um.. You wish!" Richelle joked, looking almost mortified at the thought of it.

"Yo, man, when did you guys get so close?" I asked curiously, just wanting answers.

"oh. You know... We just hungout occasionally over the break. That's all!" she replied, looking a little flustered.

I was going to push further but Emily & Michelle made their way into Studio A, & called us all over, so I thought it would be best to wait until after.

"Hello guys! It's so nice to have everyone back after break, especially you, Richelle!" Michelle acknowledged, giving her a bright smile. Everyone immediately started clapping & cheering, obviously very excited to have Ri back.

"Yes, yes. We get it. Richelle is back, & even though we're all very happy about it, we do have work to get done!" Emily adds, a serious expression on her face. Although she wouldn't admit it, I could tell she was happy to see, Richelle. They were practically like sisters.

"Now everyone, we have an exciting announcement!" Emily exclaimed, scrolling through her ipad. She gave Michelle a look that clearly said 'are you going to explain or what?!' then Michelle took a step forwards, an enormous grin plastered on her face.

"You guys have heard of Vortex Dance Company, right?" Michelle asked. At the mention of the name, everyone began to talk excitedly amongst themselves, but stopped as soon as Emily gave another one of her deadly glares.

"Well.. They have asked a bunch of studios to all send two of their dancers to go train with them for 6 weeks in New York City for a dance Intensive!" Michelle shrieked excitedly, practically bouncing up & down.

As you can imagine, this was a HUGE deal, & everyone was excited as could be! Especially, Richelle!

Richelle's POV

I was so excited for the dance Intensive, I couldn't stop shaking.

Training with Vortex for 6 weeks would be super tough, but definitely worth it. I'd come back to The Next Step from New York, & be the best dancer on the team.

"Now, obviously we don't just want to pick any 2 dancers to go. We want it to be 'fair', so we will need to see you all audition for the spots; & we would like it if you could audition with duos so we can select the best duo to go to, New York!" Emily explained, whilst rolling her eyes at a very excited, Michelle.

"Exactly. You all have the rest of today to choreograph a routine, & practice it with your partner. We will be watching all duos later, so please have it ready to go, & polished well for us." Michelle added, finally regaining her maturity.

After a few more announcements, & other small details, I was in Studio 1 with Ozzy, Noah, Jacquie, Summer, & Kenzie. None of us had duo partners, but I could already tell that Jaquie was keen to partner with either Kenzie or Noah; & Kenzie would only dance with Summer or Jacquie; & I wasn't getting along with Summer at the moment, so my only options were Ozzy, or Noah. Not that I minded too much.

Amy & Henry paired up (nothing new here), & Finn danced with Piper.

I went up to Ozzy, asking if he had a dance partner. He laughed & immediately accepted me as the other half to his duet.

We claimed studio 1 before anyone else could, & began working on our duo. It was an upbeat hip hop, jazz, & acro routine, & totally slayed. It had just the right amount of tricks & lifts, whilst not being too 'repetitive' or 'unoriginal.'

After a good 4 hours, it was time to perform our duos in front of Emily & Michelle.

Ozzy's POV

I was pretty nervous about going up against Noah & Jacquie; plus Summer & Kingston, who showed up late to class, but got caught up with things pretty quickly.

I was scared to go up against any of the team, & they honestly had some amazing routines, but ours was better... I hope at least.

I looked at Richelle & noticed how dead serious she was, & how focused her whole body was on each performance.

I wondered if she was doing the Mannequin Challenge, so waved my hand in front of her face, which resulted in a slap on the back of my head. "What are you doing?! I'm trying to watch!" Richelle hissed, clearly annoyed at me, but oh well.

After everyone had done their duets, , it was our time to perform, but I was so ready!!

The music started, & all my nerves faded. I danced with all my body, love, & passion; & was genuinely enjoying the moment. I couldn't stop smiling while dancing with Richelle, & she too looked happier than I had seen her before.

Richelle's POV

At first, I was really scared to go up & perform, but dancing with Ozzy was amazing, & the feeling of performing again after 3 months; it was honestly spectacular.

I poured my heart & soul into that piece, & couldn't stop smiling the whole time.

Noah's POV

I was really happy with how mine & Jacquie's duo turned out, but I just wasn't feeling 'it' with her, & I think that's my biggest fear.

We executed every move, lift, & trick, perfectly. I just couldn't enjoy the moment, nor did I think that Jaquie was the best partner to work with.

Richelle was dancing her heart out with Ozzy, & looked the happiest I had seen her in a very long time. Then there was Ozzy, grinning ear-to-ear, dancing with the girl of my dreams..

I personally thought our duo was more complicated, & showed the emotional story of two strangers who fall in love, but realise it will never work because they live on opposite sides of the world. Our routine was clean, polished, & emotional... But Ozzy & Richelle's chemistry was unreal.

That's what worries me...

Sorry about how it's continuously changing POV's. Chapter 3 will hopefully be a lot tidier, and slightly longer. The first 2 chapters were just fillers (there was a lot of info to add into them).

Also, sorry for any spelling or grammatical errors. I struggle with English.
