Richelle's POV
The past 24 hours had been dreadful.
After leaving Noah's house, & walked 40 minutes back to my place; I was both exhausted, & sweaty.
I had a quick shower, then finished packing my suitcase, & carry on bag. I wasn't at all prepared to pretty much move to, New York, for 6 weeks. Especially not with, Ozzy... But I had no choice!
I video called Emily, & Michelle (who were at the studio, doing last minute arrangements), & Piper, Lily, Finn, & Amy, or course. Since I didn't have time to go visit each one individually, I thought that this would be the best way to communicate with them all.
We talked about multiple things, including dance, hot guys, tea, the Intensive, & what dance wear I should take with me. There was a lot of joking around, & they managed to put me in pretty good spirits, considering.
I went to bed early that night, & made sure I was at the airport an hour before our flight was suppose to take off.
Ozzy arrived around 10 minutes after me, & made sure to avoid me at all costs. We sat on opposite sides of the food court area in the airport, & whenever we 'accidentally' glanced at each other at the same time, we'd quickly look away, & pretend to be doing something very important on our phones.
I was glad that we weren't seated together on the flight to, New York.
The Vortex Academy wasn't just some high priced dance studio in the middle of the city. It was a literal Dance school! Like a full on Academy, devoted to educating dancers both in the art of dance, & academically.
They had such a spectacular reputation in the dance world, that it was practically impossible to get into the Academy as a 'full-time' student, unless you were crazy wealthy, a National Title holder, or a dancer with at least five years of professional ballet experience.
However, every year they'd send out an invite to ten studios in the country, asking them to send two of their 'best fit' students to take classes with the choreographers, learn from some of the Greats, & get excellent academic education as well while they are here!
And luckily for us, it was free! Completely funded for us!
The only thing we had to supply was food, money for additional travel, & like $10 per private lesson, as a way to 'book' one of the empty studios for an hour.
There was just one problem.
We had to share an apartment/room...
After arriving at the Academy by taxi (super awkward); a well groomed female, around my age, in full 'Vortex' labelled dance-ware, introduced herself as, 'Kimberley'.
Kimberley was slightly out of breathe, as she held a water bottle in her right hand, & a towel in the other. Her skin was shiny, & her cheeks were a light shade of red, so I could only assume she had just come back from rehearsal.
She lead us to a decent sized 1 story building, where she explained that, Ozzy & I, would be staying together for the next six weeks.
She gave us the grand tour, showing us which room was who's, & making sure that we could easily find the bathroom. She also showed us the lounge, kitchen, & dining area, despite me thinking it was completely unnecessary. This little building (that wasn't so very little at all) was just for us?!
"Oh, one more thing! The house is split in half, so your neighbours are literally right on the other side of the building. However, they don't have access into your facility. If they want to visit you, they'll have to come through the front door just like everyone else! So don't get worried if you suddenly hear any banging or talking at night!" she comforted.
