As Jimin finally let her feet touch the ground, Dahyun playfully hit the male on his chest.

He chuckled at first, but worry was evident in his eyes as he asked her, "Are you okay?"

She sighed as she replied, "I will be."

She then smiled and pinched his cheeks, "I'm sorry for always dragging you... but I need you for just a little more."

Jimin then cupped held her hands which were still on his face, "I understand."

Suddenly, he felt someone hit the back of his head.

They turned to find Jooheon with a rolled paper in his right hand.

"It would be more helpful if you showed that romantic side on stage!" Jooheon scolded them, "Now, it's practice time! We only have a week! Faster!"

He then kept hitting Jimin's butt which made Dahyun laugh but when Jooheon turned to her, she widened her eyes and immediately sprinted towards the stage.

Dahyun was thankful for the hectic schedule that the play brought. The preparations were enough to distract her from mourning over her broken heart. However, occasionally, when she goes to the gym, she would see Irene and Taehyung together.

She would keep a smile but Jimin knew that she was hurting every time she would be reminded that her love was unrequited.

"Look here~"

Taehyung smiled, "You should stop taking my picture. I would feel bad if the documentation only contained my face."

"Don't think so highly of yourself," Irene retorted, 'This is your first picture in this camera."

Taehyung nodded teasingly, making face at her and she in turn, stuck her tongue out in front of him.

"Jimin oppa's really pretty," Irene chuckled.

"I saw it," Taehyung laughed with her.

It was weird but somehow magical that they were talking like no storm happened between them. There was no awkwardness, but instead, they were simply back to how they treat each other before.

"Have you watched them practice?" Irene asked.

Taehyung shook his head and sighed, "Not yet. Why?"

"I won't spoil it all for you but your best friends are really good actors. I'm actually surprised and impressed."

Jooheon then came and noticed that everyone was resting as the backdrop, the last project to be done, was finished.

"Oh. I think you can watch them practice," Jooheon announced.

Soon, the gym was emptied as instead, the people gathered in front of the stage.

"Why are there people outside?" Dahyun asked as she took a peek behind the curtains.

"They came to watch us practice. Are you nervous? There would be 10 times more than that crowd two days from now," Chan replied.

Dahyun confidently smiled and shook her head, "I'm comfortable with my role, unlike this one."

She pointed at Jimin who was blushing madly at his revealing dress. They laughed but it didn't take long for the rehearsal to start. When the last scene finished, the people who were helping with the props immediately went backstage to congratulate the casts.

"That was great!" Jin commended them.

"It was so funny, I had to cry," Jungkook added.

"As expected, you two have a good tandem," Yerin commented.

Dahyun and Jimin beamed as they kept thanking them for their compliments.

"Did you enjoy the show?" Irene asked Taehyung and he merely nodded in return.

But his silence throughout the whole practice was deafening and his gaze was still glued at Jimin and Dahyun.

"But what about the kissing scene?" Eunbi argued.

"What kissing scene?! Don't add something!" Jungkook argued back.

"It's in the script!" Eunbi retorted.

"They're doing it," Chan confirmed, "But on the play itself."

Irene grinned, seeing the disgruntled expression that Taehyung made.

"Why are you here?"

"I was waiting for you."

Dahyun shook her head, "The props are already done. You don't need to go to school anymore."

Taehyung watched her as she wore her shoes, "Don't you need someone to accompany you?"

"Since when did you worry?"

"I worry about you all the time!" Taehyung answered.

Yeah, right. Because I'm your childhood friend.

"No need to worry. I can handle it," Dahyun answered, not even sparing her a glance as she busied herself with wearing her shoes.

Since that day, she was trying not to look directly at Taehyung' eyes because she was afraid that Taehyung will notice something she already chose not to show.

"Are you avoiding me?" Taehyung whispered.

Dahyun paused.

"No," she lied, "The play is just keeping me occupied."

"Then, how about we hang out after your rehearsals? We can – "  Taehyung was cut off when his phone suddenly started ringing, "Irene?"

Dahyun smiled to herself, and Taehyung failed to notice how sadness registered in her eyes.

"This afternoon? But I was planning to go with Dahyun – " Taehyung was about to protest but his phone was snatched by Dahyun.

"Afternoon is okay, unni! Taehyung is free anyways. Have fun!" Dahyun said and ended the call.

"Why did you do that?!" Taehyung yelled as he took his phone back.

Dahyun stuck her tongue out at him, "There's no way I can hang out with you. We're practicing until night. Just go out with unni."

Even before Taehyung could retort, someone came much to his surprise.

"Yah. Since when did you start riding a bike?" Taehyung asked Jimin.

Jimin grinned as he replied, "This is environment-friendly and this is also morning exercise. Plus, I can fetch Dahyun!"

The girl just tilted her head for a questioning look but then Jimin winked at her and with that expression, Dahyun knew she had to play along.

"Hop on! We don't have time to argue," Jimin exclaimed and when Dahyun did as told, Jimin drove away, not even giving the change for Taehyung to protest.

"Bye Taehyung!" Jimin said as he biked away.

"She said she can handle it but she rode the bike. His house is out of the way. Why is he even here?" Taehyung kept ranting on his own.
