"Singto?"

Who knew death could come all because of a single name?

And not even mine at that!

The real Singto, standing just to the side of a stunned May, grimaces when our eyes meet before both our gazes swing to P'Arthit who is still tugging me along impatiently, seemingly unaware of the drama unfolding as we speak.

But wait, this isn't so bad. The only one that knows that I'm not who I say I am is Singto, so as long as we don't stop, there needs to be no awkward explanations. He can just tell her that I'm Kong, and P' will continue to think I'm Singto. Problem resolved.

I hurry along, no longer resisting P's pull, hoping that we can get out of earshot before anythi-

"Singto, who was that just now with P'Arthit?"

Fuck my life!

I feel the blood draining from my face as I stumble over my own feet when I hear those words come out of May's mouth. It wouldn't take a genius to put one and one together to equal twins and the wrong one at that.

There's no way he didn't hear that...right? I mean, it's not like she shouted it but it wasn't exactly a whisper either.

Yet, P' gives no reaction other than to keep a firm grip on my wrist as we make our way to the stairs that lead to the movie theater located at the top.

I glance back at my brother and find his eyes already on me as he talks to May, no doubt trying to explain the situation in some manner that hopefully will keep our secret from P'Arthit. Because of our twin connection, we can practically read the expression on the other's faces as we have a conversation without words as I try to keep pace with P's steady march.

Sing - Did he hear?

Kong - I don't know. Doesn't seem like it.

Sing - That's good.

Kong - What about May?

Sing - No worries. I'll handle it.

I'd love to find out how my brother plans to "handle it" since he didn't exactly "handle" the P'/May situation before like he claimed he would but I mean, come on, there's really only so much I can read from his nonverbal cues, twin or not.

Turning my head back to P'Arthit, I can't help but wonder how long he's gonna keep a hold on me but truthfully, I'm enjoying the contact so it's not like I'm going to say anything and risk having him stop.

Thank you but I'll take whatever I can get from P'.

In fact, I can't hold back a small smile at how lucky I am feeling at this moment considering that I was almost busted yet, here I am, still in the clear and almost holding hands if the immovable hand on my wrist could be counted as such.

Which I totally do!

Happily lost in the moment, it takes me a moment to realize that we've reached the theater and are now at the snack counter where P' is currently ordering us two sodas and a bucket of popcorn. He finally releases my wrist in order to pay, looking slightly surprised - and maybe even a little embarrassed - to find that he had held it for some long but he doesn't comment on it so neither do I.

"P', let me pay na? You already paid for lunch and the movie tickets."

"It's okay, I got this. Save your money for something important."

I'm the one to grab his wrist this time, just as he moves to hand over the money to the cashier, my voice coming out more intense that I intend, "But this is important. You're important to me."
