Its been a few months since Declan told me about Nina and her past. She's Natasha's daughter. Now I am scared for my life. Thank God I have Riley to keep me safe. He can't stand Nina either. Declan told me to be around Julianna and/or Riley but don't be alone without them.
Right now, I am University gym with a bunch of students getting the Graduating Ceremony set up for tomorrow. Riley, Julianna, Marcus, Nina, Tina, Conrad, and a bunch of others are graduating tomorrow. Lately I noticed that Mr. Ortega hasn't been around for a few months.
It's weird to see my bestie and my boyfriend graduating tomorrow. I'm glad the other three are graduating as well. So I don't have to deal with Nina next year. I got two more years of this. I'll be continuing my classes with Declan.
Later that day
Julianna and I were at our house. Her parents are in town for the graduation and they are staying at our house but they'll be in my bedroom. So I am packing an overnight bag to stay with Riley. His parents live in town so I can have alone time with him.
Julianna knocks on the door. I look up. "Hey, JuJu," I said. "Hey. So is the plan you'll be staying with Riley?" she asked. "Yeah. Since your parents are staying in my room. So I figured I get alone with Riley before he graduates," I said.
"That's good. So how long have you and Riley been dating now?" she asked. "We've been official since January. I would say four months now," I said. "Longer than you and Conrad. Riley makes you more happier, doesn't he?" she asked.
"Oh yes. He does," I said. "That's great. Have you guys said 'I love you'?" she asked. "No. We haven't," I said. "You guys been dating for four months and you two haven't said 'I love you'? You two are a different couple," she said.
"I am not ready to tell him those words," I said. "Why not?" she asked. "Its a long story. I don't want to talk about. If Riley wants to say it, I'll let him say it," I said, finishing packing. "Okay. Have you spoken to Declan?" she asked.
"Not since my brother's wedding," I lied. "Oh okay. Is he still fucking Nina?" she asked. "I found out that she's back to fucking Mr. Ortega," I said. "Wow! That girl loves flaunting herself around," she said.
"That's true," I said. "Want me to drop you off at Riley's apartment?" she asked. "Please?" I asked. I went to my closet to get my outfit to wear for the ceremony since I am handing out programs.
"Lets go," she said. "Can we stop at the diner first?" I asked. "Of course," she said.
An hour later, I got to Riley's apartment. We were eating food I ordered for us. "Nita, your work's food is amazing," he said. "Yes. Best diner in Lark ever. Complements to from my boss," I said.
"So how was setting up chairs and all?" he asked. "It was a pain. Dean of Students asked me to help and she wants me to hand out programs as well," I said.
"That's awesome," he said. I nodded. "I did it last year when my brother graduated college," I said. "That's good," he said. "So is your parents throwing a graduation party?" I asked. "Actually its a graduation dinner," he said.
"The last time I had dinner with your parents, they were very rude to me," I said. "I know they were but it will be different," he said. "It better be," I said. He nodded. "Nita, I love you," he said. I looked at him.
"Uhoh," I thought to myself.
