Riley's moved out. I've been staying at Declan's house since then. Julianna is not happy that Riley and I called off the wedding. However, Riley and I are still friends. I can go back to wearing my original style.
I came downstairs. Declan looked up. "Feel better in your normal clothes," Declan asked. "Oh yeah. Riley let me wear anything I wanted but I had to wear everything else to impress Riley's mother," I said.
"Now you don't have to impress me or anyone we know," he said, smiling. I sat next to him. "Im glad you can accept me for who I am. Plus your family has known me longer than Riley's family has," I said.
"That's true. My dad thanked you for saving mine and Kyle's life. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be alive," he said. "Then she was released and now she's back in prison with her daughter," I said.
"Where they belong. I spoke to Nina's father," he said. "Oh?" I asked. "Yeah after Natasha and Nina were guilty for murdering Mr. Ortega and attempting to murdering you. He confronted me about it and he's glad that we sent Nina and Natasha to prison. After Natasha went to prison, he didn't want Nina to become like her mother. He tried to keep her away from her from all of that. He knew his daughter was prostituting herself and was doing drug, sent her to rehab. It actually helped her until she went to college," he said.
"Wow! He couldn't keep his daughter away from Natasha but look where she ended up," I said. He nodded. "Well she can't hurt you or me anymore," he said. I nodded and kissing him deeply. He kissed me back and then my nose.
"Since you are no longer than my student, now we don't have to keep us a secret anymore," he said, smiling. "Oh yeah. Can we wait a little while to be official?" I asked. "Of course we can," he said.
Two Weeks Later
I was home at mine and Julianna's house. I am moving out to live with Declan. Marcus's moving with Julianna since they are officially engaged. Declan and Marcus are moving my stuff to the U-Haul trailer.
Julianna and I were still in the house while the guys move everything. We looked out the window. "I'm glad I don't have to deal with a Monster-in-Law aka Regina," I said.
"I feel bad for the next girl that comes into Riley's life," Julianna said. "Me too. How you spoken to Riley since we called off the wedding?" I asked. "I have. He's enjoying the single life. He asks about you and Declan though," she said.
"Oh?" I asked. "Yeah. I told him that you are happy. He told me that's all he wants for you," she said. I nodded. "So how does it feel to be engaged to Marcus?" I asked. "Amazing. I waited like four years for this," she said.
"That's good. What's Marcus's family like?" I asked. "They are amazing people. His parents are very chill like mine are. Have you met Declan's family?" she asked. "I known them since I was a little girl," I said.
"What's his mom like?" she asked. "Declan's mother passed away after battling cancer. It happened two months after he married his first wife," I said. "Aww how sad. Have you met her?" she asked.
"Yes. She use to babysit me and Kyle when we were little. Declan's parents divorced before Natasha came into the picture. She moved to Wisconsin to be close to her family. After Natasha was sent to prison, they moved to Wisconsin to be closer to his mom and get out of Chicago," I said.
"What cancer was it?" she asked. "She had heart and lung cancer. Declan was 21 and his sister was 23 at the time. His mom and my mom were best friends," I said. "That's not good," she said. "Declan rarely talks about his mother's cancer because it upsets him. He was his mom's baby," I said.
"Aww..." she said. I nodded. Declan and Marcus are done moving my stuff. "Ready to go, Angelina?" Declan asked. I nodded. "Well I guess its that time," I said. Julianna and I hugged it out one last time.
"Before you go, would you love to be my maid of honor for my wedding?" Julianna asked. "I love to," I said. "You take care of her Declan," Julianna said. "I will," Declan said. Declan and I left the house and got to his car.
An hour later, we got all of my stuff unpacked. I was finishing a shower. "My turn," Declan said. I wrapped my body in a towel. I left the bathroom and headed to his room, grabbing clean clothes and getting dressed.

I looked at the old wedding mags that I was gonna use for mine and Riley's wedding. I threw them away. I headed to the office, grabbing my laptop. I was continuing to write my novel.
I put my glasses on. My phone rang and it was my dad. "Hey, Dad," I said. "Hey, sweetie. Did you get settled in Declan's place?" he asked. "I did. Everything good," I said. "Is he there?" he asked. "Yeah, he's in the shower. Do you need to talk to him?" I asked.
"No, I'll talk to him later," he said. "Okay," I said. "If you have a tough time with him, you know you can always come home," he said. "I know. Is that all you need?" I asked. "That's all, sweetie. Mom says hi and she missed you," he said.
"Tell her I miss her too. Love you Dad," I said, ending the call. I put my phone down. I heard the water turning off. I continued to write my novel. I look up, Declan was wrapped in a towel. "Feel better?" I asked.
"Yes. Clean as ever," he said, smiling. "That's good," I said. He nodded, dropping his towel and I stared at his butt. I bite my lip as he got dressed in gymshorts. "My dad called," I said. "How's he?" he asked.
"He's good. He was checking if I got settled in. I told him I did and he asked what you were doing. I told him you were in the shower," I said. "Oh yeah, he's been wanting to talk to me one on one," he said.
I nodded and smiled. "So when do I get to meet your family again?" I asked. "My dad and sister been wanting to see you for a while now," he said. "What about your stepmom and stepsister?" I asked.
"Oh you'll love them. They are super nice. My stepsister was friends with my ex-wife Melinda until Melinda and I dated," he said. "You stepsister had a crush on you?" I asked. "Yeah. Melinda won my heart. She accepted that we were always gonna be stepsiblings," he said.
"Oh I see. Did you and Melinda ever wanted children?" I asked. "We did get pregnant but she had an abortion secretly without me knowing," he said. "I'm sorry," I said. "It actually broke me when she did that. I wanted to be a father, but she didn't want to be a mother," he said, sniffling.
"Hey, hey. Don't cry babe. Melinda was being selfish for doing that. If you gotten me pregnant, I would never do anything like that. I don't believe in abortion at all," I said. He nodded as I wiped his tears away.
He kissed me softly. I smiled as got back on my laptop. "So what you writing here?" he asked, looking at my novel. "Its a novel I am writing. Its student /teacher relationship but it's very different from our story. Using different names and different plot line," I said.
"Its sounds like a good novel," he said. I nodded. "It will be. Might not get the best sells but I'll give it my best shot," I said. "Just try and try. If people bought it and read it, possibly will be a Best Seller," he said.
I nodded. "After I gradutated from Lark University, I applied for the English Lit intructor since my old teacher, Mr. McKegan retired," he said. "Was it hard?" I asked. "Not really," he said. I nodded.
Few minutes later, Declan came upstairs. "Hey. I decided to bring you up some cut up apples and carmel for your brain," he said. "Thank you," I said, closing my laptop and started eating them.
I moaned as I ate them. "Thanks babe," I said, covering my mouth. "You're welcome," he said, smiling.
