~~Chapter 4~~
Layla's POV
When I got home last night I went straight to bed, ignoring everyone downstairs completely. At 7 in the morning I was woken by a shrill noise that was my phone, which I answered after four rings.
"Hello Layla, it's Mimi from the cafe. We need you to come in because Sophie called in sick, can you make it in 30 minutes?" Mimi asked desperately. "Sure I'll come, I'll be there soon bye." And I hung up the phone.
I had a shower, I got dressed put some mascara and lip gloss on. Put my glasses on, and started to pack my training leotard, shorts and a water bottle into my gym bag.
I was about to open the front door, but i was stopped by my mum. "Where do you think your going Layla? And why didn't you tell me your father came yesterday. I had to kick him out the house, literally." She grumbled at me.
"I have to go mum I'm running late, I have to go into work and then training. He came by yesterday and-" before I could finish she cut me off. "Darling it's ok, I would just like it if you would tell me next time. You should go before they yell at you for being late, when are you getting home tonight? Because I have to leave for a work conference in two hours." She said to me casually.
"I'm going be home around 10:15 at night. I see you tomorrow mum." "Ok i'll see you tomorrow, drive carefully sweetheart." My mum said sweetly to me. I opened the door to the garage, and threw my gym bag into my red Ferrari 458 Spyder. I love my car, it's just so comfortable and awesome, the best part is that not many people in my high school have one. The only reason I have it, is because my grandma bought it for me for as 2 or 3 birthdays and christmas presents.
I get to the cafe in two minutes, and I take my gym bag out of my car. As I'm walking into the cafe, I call my friends and Blake that I won't be able to hang out with them today because I'm working and training.
I start working behind the counter, waiting for customers. Around five minutes later Blake walks through the door, when I saw his face my heart skipped a beat. His messy dark brown hair, his blue eyes that are deep and vibrant. When he saw my face a smile formed on his face, I thought to myself, he is so handsome.
When he was standing in front of the counter. He leaned forward and I did the same, and he gave me a light kiss on the lips it was tender but sweet. "Good morning princess, how was your sleep?" He said in his husky voice. "It was alright." I say truthfully. "Ok, handsome what would you like?" I ask him.
"Babe I want to hang out with you, when do you finish your shift?" He ask me with his puppy dog look. "I finish at two thirty, I say. "Well, I'll be able to hang out with you then." He said smiling, while I on the other hand had a frown on my face. "Sorry Blake, I have to do something after work. I have to go to gym training after work." I say sadly.
"What about we get some pizza?" He asked me before giving me another kiss. "Pizza sounds nice, but I have to train because on Wednesday I have finals the last comp of the year." I excitedly say. "Alright babe, when do you finish training then?" He asks me in a whinny voice. "I finish ten. How about we do something tomorrow." I tell him.
"I can't wait that long though." He whinnied more. "Sorry Blake, I have to train I have finals on Wednesday and I want to do well." I say. "Ok Layla, I'll come to your finals alright, only if I can meet up with you tonight." He says being pushy. "Fine, come over at my house at ten thirty. I'll see you then Blake." I say sighing. I seemed to forget that he was very stubborn.
He turned around to leave, however when he reached the door he stopped. He came back over to me and kissed me on the lips goodbye. When his lips were on mine, my heart sped up intensely, even though I've kissed him many time before I still get the tingling feeling.
