Chapter 3: The Morning After

Bright light streamed through the windows of the Vega house. Finn groaned as she woke up. She was very hung over and the light was not helping the headache she had. All around everyone was moaning and groaning about their headache. Finn not wanting to wake up, buried her head under a pillow. She soon fell back asleep. She woke again to someone shaking her. Finn peaked her head out just enough to see.

"Come on, Finn. It's time to wake up." Tori said tiredly.

Tori was sporting crazy bedhead, as was Finn. They decided that today was going to be a lazy day. They didn't get out of their pajamas for the whole day and only ate junk food. Finn didn't realize how late it had gotten until she looked at the clock. 

"Hey, Tor. I gotta get home." Finn said.

"Aww. Don't go. I'll miss you!" Tori begged.

"Haha I'm sure this won't be the last time I see you." Finn said.

"It might be!" Tori exclaimed jokingly.

"Alright crazy. I'll see ya!" Finn called out.

"Bye!" Tori said. 

Finn made her way out of the Vega house and towards her car. She was still wearing Tori's clothes. To be honest, they share clothes so much, they don't even know whose is whose. Finn got into her car and started it up. She quickly drove to her apartment building. Her and her sister, Lauren, had to move there after their parents died. She parked in the lot and made her way up to her apartment. It was empty when she got in. Not surprising. Lauren was busy with college and work and had this boyfriend, Josh. It was okay for her sister to have a boyfriend, but this one was bad news. Finn had to work as well, but her sister wanted her to focus on school. Finn went to her bedroom to take a shower and change. She opened the door and was greeted by her fluffy white cat.

"Hi baby!" Finn said to her cat.

She scratched the top of the cats head and he let out a loud purr. Finn shed her clothes and quickly went into the shower. It was late Sunday and she had to be at school early the next day. Finn showered quickly and blow dried her long gray hair. She decided to leave it straight, instead of curling it, which she normally did. Finn got into another pair of pajamas, did a little homework, and went to bed.

Finn woke the loud ringing of her alarm. She groaned and reluctantly got out of bed. She quickly brushed out her hair and made sure it looked good. She slapped on a little bit of makeup on and decided it wasn't a contacts day today, and instead went for her glasses. Her glasses had thick black round frames and made her look cutely dork-ish. Finn put on a pair of black skinny jeans, a plain white t-shirt, and a creme colored corduroy jacket. She topped off the outfit with her signature gold earrings and a beat up pair of vans. She grabbed her backpack, kissed her cat goodbye, and exited her room to grab some breakfast. 

"Hey Finn" a deep voice said.

"Hey Josh" Finn said uneasy.

"You look nice today." Josh said, looking her up and down.

"Thanks..." Finn said

Josh gave her the major creeps. She wished Lauren wouldn't bring him over. Finn quickly grabbed a banana and left for school. Finn quickly made her way to school and sat in the parking lot to eat her breakfast. She was steeling herself for what was inevitably going to be a horribly boring day. Her phone suddenly pinged.

Tori: <Hey girlie!>

Finn: <Hey Tori! What's up?>

Tori: <Not much, just missing you>

Finn: <Miss you too bby>

Tori: <We're going to the beach this weekend. Wanna come??>

Finn: <IDK>

Tori: <Come on. It'll be fun!>

Finn: <I'll think about it! I gotta go.>

Tori: <byeee>

---time skip---

It was several days later and Finn still wasn't sure if she was going to go to the beach with them or not. She knew it would be fun, but she knew that Jade was probably going to be with them and she was nervous about seeing Beck again. At the end of the day, it would probably be super fun and she absolutely loves the beach, so maybe she should go. Finn's phone pinged, signaling she had a text message. It was an unknown number.

unknown: <you should come to the beach.>

Finn: <who is this?>

Finn: <how do you know I'm thinking about going to the beach?>

unknown: <haha, don't freak out. You know me.>

Finn: <is this Andre?>

unknown: <No...>

Finn: <Cat?>

unknown: <You're getting colder>

Finn: <I know this isn't Jade.>

unknown: <Correct>

Finn: <So, it has to be...>

unknown: <yes...>

Finn: <Robbie!>

unknown: <oh, so close>

Finn: <LOL. I know it's you Beck.>

Beck: <Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!>

Finn: <LOL>

Beck: <Seriously, come to the beach with us. It'll be fun!>

Finn: <What's in it for me?>

Beck: <Well... you get to hang out with your new friends and you get to see Robbie without a shirt, which is always fun...>

Finn: <You've convinced me>

Beck: <Awesome! We're all meet at Tori's house."

Finn: <See you then!>
