The once empty apartment was now swarmed with police officers. After Beck had called 911, an officer was sent down to see what the problem was. Beck explained that Finn, her sister, and Josh had gone missing. He showed the officer the line of blood drops, leading to a blood soaked bat that had been stuffed in a suitcase and dumped into the garbage. The officer quickly realized that something serious was going on and called in backup. Beck had been interviewed numerous times. The police wanted to know everything, every little detail of Finn's life. Where she went, who she hung out with, who Beck was to her, her relationship with her sister, her relationship with Josh, could she be having an affair with her sisters boyfriend, did Beck have something to do with her disappearance, they wanted to know everything. By the end, Beck was drained both physically and mentally.

He stumbled out of the apartment building, disoriented and lost in thought. He plopped down on the sidewalk. He didn't feel grief or panic, he was just empty, confused. He felt hollow. Was this shock? He pushed those thoughts away and decided to call the rest of his friends to let them know the news. First he called Tori.

"Hello?" Tori asked groggily.

Beck had forgotten it was late in the night.

"Hey..." Beck said, voice cracking in emotion.

"Beck, what's wrong?" Tori asked, suddenly awake and worried.

Beck took a deep breath.

"It's uh, Finn. She's missing. She's missing and.... and there's blood in her apartment-" Beck started.

"What?!" Tori interrupted.

"I don't know where she is. Tori, I don't know." Beck cried, tears slipping down his face.

"Beck, stay there. I'll be there soon." Tori promised.

Beck just nodded, not remembering that Tori couldn't see him, and hung up.

Time was passing strangely for him. It seemed like only a moment before a gente hand laid on his should. He looked up to see Tori, Andre, Robbie, Cat, and surprisingly... Jade. They all held sympathetic expressions on their face. Beck figured he must look like a mess for his friends to look at him like that. No words were said, there was nothing that anyone could say that would make this better. The group joined Beck on the ground and pulled him into an embrace. Beck felt as though this was supposed to be comforting. Shouldn't he be feeling something? Instead there was only a hollow feeling in his chest. He had only known Finn for a short time, but life was unlivable without her. How was he supposed to be alright when the most precious thing in his life was missing?

Finn watched with resigned eyes as the sign saying 'Welcome to Ohio' passed by. She was a long way from home. Every place they stopped Finn tried to leave message behind. She mouthed something to the gas station clerk, she wrote on the napkins at the diner, she left notes in the motel room. Finn figured that eventually someone was bound to believe her. Someone was bound to take at least one of these seriously.

She fell asleep often, still trying to heal from the injuries Josh inflicted. All of her dreams consisted of one person, Beck. She dreamt of them together. She dreamt of his fluffy hair and tanned skin and big brown eyes. She dreamt of kissing him and hold him and spending her life with him. She supposed if she was to die, she could die happy. If she were to go, she hoped she would fade off with a dream of him. She wanted his to be the last face she saw.

Finn didn't know what fate awaited her. She didn't know how this story would end. Most scenarios she conjured up were not pleasant. However, she didn't fear for herself. She feared for her sister. If Finn would die first, how could her sister live on? Finn supposed that if Lauren were to pass right after her, that would be easier on her. She wouldn't have to live on being the very last member of their family. Lauren had nearly crumbled apart when their patents passed. There's no way Lauren could survive the death of her little sister.

Finn feared for Tori, her best friend. Tori and Finn had been friends for what seemed like forever. Tori had never felt loss like Finn had. Finn worried that loosing someone so close to her would leave her permanently scarred. If Finn were to go, she hoped that Tori would be able to move on, find a new best friend. Surely Tori must know that Finn only wants the best for her and for her to be happy.

Finn mostly feared for Beck. She knew that Beck loved her. Finn hoped that Beck knew that she loved him too. Finn had never felt this way about anyone before. Finn considered herself a very strong person, but if she lost Beck, she didn't know if she could handle it. If worst does come to worst and Finn is no longer around, she hopes that Beck is able to love again. She hopes that he is able to heal and find someone knew. She hopes that he will graduate, and marry, and have kids, and live. She just wants him to live, even if it's not with her.
