Chapter 8: Hollywood Arts Cont.

Finn sat down next to Beck. He smiled at her. She smiled back.

"Hi." Finn said shyly.

"Hi." Beck replied.

"Umm, Hello?" Came Jades irritated call.

Beck rolled his eyes at this and went back to directing them. Finn sat and watched them act out scenes, giving her feedback here and there. They finished soon after Finn got there.

"Hey, who wants to go to Nozu?" Tori asked.

"I'll go." Andre said.

"Me too!" Said Cat.

"I'd rather die." Jade said darkly.

"Okay... what about you two?" Tori asked.

Finn and Beck looked at each other.

"I'll go if you go." Beck said.

"Yes, we'll go." Finn said to Tori.

They all headed to Nozu. Andre drove Cat and Tori and Beck drove Finn. 

When they got there, they decided to sit at the sushi bar. Finn had Beck and Cat on either side of her. Andre sat next to Beck and Tori sat next to Andre. They all sat and chatted while waiting for their food. Beck and Finn were deep in conversation when Finn heard a loud "mhmm" from behind her. She turned to look and was shocked to see Josh standing behind her. He had fury in his eyes.

"Finn..." He started off angrily.

"Oh, hey Josh." Finn said quietly.

Beck noticed Finn's tense body and fearful tone. 

"Finn, who's this?" Beck asked.

Finn's big green eyes, filled with fear, glanced at Beck. She just shook her head at his question, silently begging him not to get involved. Beck, of course, ignored this. He stood up from his chair and greeted Josh.

"Hi, I'm Beck. And you are?" He asked.

"Josh." He answered curtly.

Tori pipped up from down the bar. She recognized the name.

"Lauren's boyfriend?" She asked.

Josh didn't spare her a glance. He was busy staring down Beck and Finn.

"Come on Finn, let's go." Josh said.

"What? No." Finn replied.

The anger in his eyes intensified. 

"Let's go!" He said forcefully.

Finn had two options now: follow Josh out or stay with Beck. She knew in her heart, she wanted to stay with Beck. However, she was afraid of angering Josh any further. Ultimately, she decided to follow her heart.

"No." Finn replied firmly.

This obviously made Josh very angry. He made a move to grab her, which was quickly deflected by Beck. 

"I'll see you at home." Josh spat at Finn.

Beck shot Finn a worried look, as did the rest of the table. Finn just turned around in her chair and stared off into space, dreading what was to come when she went home. Finn stayed quiet through out the rest of the meal. Beck continuosly shot her worried looks, but she just ignored them and sat in silence. At the end of the meal, her and Beck bid their goodbyes to the group and got in his car. They sat in silence for a beat.

"I don't want to talk about it." Finn stated.

Beck just looked at her for a moment.

"Are you okay?" He asked sincerely. 

Finn shot him a pained look. He had his answer. She's not fine and hadn't been for a while. Beck just nodded, started up the car, and began driving. They drove in silence for a few minutes. Finn just stared out the window, silently panicking at the though of going home. Finn quickly noticed that they weren't heading towards her apartment.

"Where are we going?" She asked.

"You'll see." Beck replied.

She supposed she didn't mind not going home for a while, but she didn't want to make Josh any more mad than he already was. It was a lose-lose situation.

They quickly arrived at Beck's trailer. She sent him a tired smile. It was a thoughtful gesture to take her here, to his safe space. Truth be told, Beck was terrified at what might happen if she went home. This was the only way he knew to keep her safe.

"Sleepover?" Beck asked jokingly.

Finn giggled at him. They exited the car together and both went into the trailer. Finn supposed that she would meet hell when she went home, so she decided to make tonight heaven.
