Yeah I don't think this ship can go well. It's just the same as shipping James with Thomas. One vain and one cheeky, I don't think they would make a perfect match. I think James would be very rude for Rosie and she'd always be cheeky and try to piss him off, not to mention they'd get into arguments. Their relationship wouldn't last long for sure.

Do I ship them? No, but if you ship them then that's okay. You do you I guess.
