3. Encounters

After the role distribution, I made my way back to class, my thoughts consumed by Mina unnie. She didn't speak much, unlike the more outgoing Jihyo and Nayeon unnie. I found myself wishing she had talked to me.As I entered the classroom, I saw Dahyun and Tzuyu engaged in a lively conversation with Nayeon and Jihyo. I was taken aback. Dahyun had mentioned being friends with some upperclassmen, but I hadn't expected it to be these two.

Tzuyu noticed me first and called out, "Chaeng, over here!" The four of them turned to look at me as I approached."Hi again, Chaeyoung," Nayeon unnie greeted me warmly. I greeted her back, surprised that she remembered my name.Honestly, I wanted to ask them about Mina unnie, but before I could muster the courage, the bell rang, signaling the start of class.

They hurried off to their respective classrooms, leaving me with my curiosity unfulfilled.The rest of the day dragged on as I waited impatiently for class to end. Finally, I had a chance to ask Dahyun about Mina unnie."Oh, Mina unnie?" she responded, a hint of mischief in her eyes."Yeah," I replied, trying to sound casual.

"Why do you want to know?" Dahyun teased, clearly enjoying my discomfort."Oh gosh, just answer me, Tofu," I implored."Well, yeah, I know her," she said, and I felt a glimmer of hope."But we don't talk much," she added, shattering my expectations.Tzuyu and Dahyun laughed at my expression of disappointment, and I couldn't help but join in despite my frustration.

[Mina's POV]

I was sitting in my class when Nayeon and Jihyo burst in, their faces alight with excitement."Where were you?" I inquired, curious about their animated expressions."We went to meet our juniors," Jihyo replied, her voice brimming with enthusiasm.

"We saw Chaeyoung too," Nayeon added quickly, a playful grin on her face.I responded with a nonchalant "hmm," trying to mask my interest.

Nayeon and Jihyo began gushing about Chaeyoung, describing how cute she was. I would be lying if I said she wasn't adorable. To me, she resembled a cub-innocent, endearing, and utterly captivating.

The way she flustered when I caught her staring at me. She's really cute.
