27. Protective

Everyday was the same for the two love birds. And just previous week, there was a new couple in their group. Dahyun and Momo. The confession was first done by Dahyun.

On the other hand, Sana and Tzuyu were not together yet. They all knew that Sana has a crush on the latter but  knew nothing about how the younger one felt.
But whenever Sana would try and go flirt with others, Tzuyu would always act possessive.

Just two months left before their graduation. So they all decided to make the best use of their time.

After their classes ended, Chaeyoung and Mina were heading home together. As they approached the gate, they noticed a group of unfamiliar boys in uniforms. There were only three or four of them, but they were clearly not their schoolmates.

Both girls decided to ignore them, but unfortunately, they were noticed. The boys positioned themselves right in front of them, staring intently. Chaeyoung and Mina tried to change their direction, but the boys quickly blocked their path again.

Chaeyoung's facial expression revealed her irritation. She was not one to get involved in fights or drama; she preferred to be the peacemaker among her friends. Mina knew this well.

"Hi pretty ladies!" one of the boys called out. "What do you want?" Mina's tone was sharp, clearly annoyed.

"Whoa.. Don't worry.. We're not bad guys. We just wanted to get to know you," he said, extending his hand for a handshake, which both girls ignored.

"Ohh, I see.. Playing hard to get, huh?" the tallest one among them sneered.

"Listen, we don't have time for this and have no interest in getting to know you," Mina said, grabbing Chaeyoung's hand and trying to walk away. Unfortunately, one of the boys grabbed her other hand.

They were already a few yards away from their school. Some students were around, but they didn't want to get involved.

The sight of the boy grabbing Mina's hand made Chaeyoung furious, but she tried to remain calm. "Let go of her hand," Chaeyoung demanded, her voice deep and menacing as she glared at the boy.

"Why? I just wanted to be friends, and you refused my offer. What? Is she your girlfriend?" the boy holding Mina's hand asked in a taunting tone, making Chaeyoung even angrier.

"And we said we're not interested in being your friends," Chaeyoung spoke harshly, her voice rising.

"You're not interested in being our friends? Fine, we don't want that either. Maybe we could be friends with benefits?" one of them suggested, laughing with his friends. They still held Mina's hand tightly.

The boy holding Mina's hand then looked her up and down and said, "We can have fun, you know. You really look good in your uniform but would look better without it in my bed, where we'll be fuc-"

Thud.

In a split second, the boy was on the ground, clutching his nose in pain. "Bitch!" he cursed.

The once small and timid Chaeyoung had transformed into a fierce tiger, throwing punch after punch at the boy's face.

His friends rushed to stop her, but they were suddenly intercepted by three other boys—Bambam, Mark, and Jinyoung. Chaos erupted on the street as fists flew and shouts filled the air.

Soon, other people had to rush in to break up the fight. Some students from the other school arrived and quickly took their misbehaving peers away, apologizing profusely.
