Y/n's POV
"Walking by yourselves! You don't ever think!" Darry said as we walked home.
"All we did was walk home from the movies," Ponyboy explained to Darry.
"Movies and books. Movies and books! You know, I-I wish that you can concentrate on something else just once in a while," Darry then said.
"Why don't you concentrate on girls and cars? It works for me!" Soda said. It made me giggle after what he said.
"Look, if you had to go with Y/n, you should have carried a blade," Darry told Pony.
"Oh, yeah, that would have been a great excuse for the Socs to cut Y/n's neck a little more there!" Soda then stated.
"Hey, if I want my kid brother to tell me what to do with my other kid brother and sister, I'll ask you, all right, kid brother!" Darry told Soda and then walked towards the house. Why does Darry always have to be that way.
"Geez, Soda. Why's he always gotta be like that?" Pony asked him.
"He's just got more worries than he used to," Soda said.
I then saw Dally leaning against a car, so I walked to wards him and gave him a hug.
"How's it, kid?" Dally asked me.
"I'm fine," I told him.
"What are you doing out of the cooler, Dal?" Pony asked Dally.
"Yeah? What are you doing walking with Y/n on the street, huh?" Steve asked Pony as his nose started to bleed.
"It's none of your business, Marty," Pony told Steve.
"What do you mean it's none of my business? It is my business! Look at my nose!" Steve complained as I stood next to Johnny.
"It's huge," Two-bit joked.
"Smartass. He is a smartass kid," Steve said. "Hey, Dally. How you doing?" He changed the subject.
"I'm doing all right, man," Dally responded.
"Thought you were in for about 90 days, Dal," Ponyboy said.
"Yeah, I got out early, man. Good behavior, you know," Dally stated as he smoked a cigarette. "Hey, Johnny, man. How you doing, bro?" Dally then changed the subject as he walked next to Johnny.
"Things would go a lot better, if the Socs stayed on the southside of town, man," Johnny said as we all continued walking.
"Now, don't you worry about that, Johnny. 'Cause we're gonna to have it out with them sooner or later," Steve told Johnny.
"We sure as hell are. They keep coming to our side of town," Soda stated.
"Damn right," Steve then said as we made it home.
"Those the same guys that got you?" Dally asked Johnny.
"No. They were other guys," Johnny said.
"Now that I'm out, I'm gonna make it my business to get the guy who did that to your face," Dally then said.
"What about me becoming your guys's personal body guard, huh, Ponyboy, Y/n?" Two-bit suggested.
"I don't think it's too hot of an idea," Ponyboy told Two-bit.
"I was thinking, how about you and Sylvia coming over to game with us tomorrow night?" Steve suggested on doing. That sounded like fun.
"I wanna go," I said.
"Oh, we're taking Evie and Sandy," Soda told me.
"Which means no kids allowed," Steve added.
"Big deal!" Pony then said.
"Nah, nah, nah, nah. I'm gonna go hunt some action. If little kids are allowed. I then got excited after he said that.
"We'll go with you, won't we, Pony?" Johnny asked.
"I'll go," I said as I held onto Dally's arm.
"I don't know, Dal. I can't get in no trouble with the cops. Darry says the court will split us up for sure if I do," Pony told Dally.
"Hey, who's looking for police trouble, man? I just wanna go see a movie like the good old days, right, Johnny?" Dally said.
"Yeah, man. Come on," Johnny said, agreeing with Dally.
"I was planning on putting down a couple of six packs of Bud, but if I don't get to drunk, I'll join y'all," Two-bit told us.
As the others were leaving, I followed Soda inside the house and went to my room and laid on my f/c bed. I was excited about tomorrow. I was going to hang out with my brother and friends.
