Y/n's POV
We hurried to the hospital really fast. We even got pulled over by the police. We had to make an excuse to why we were in a rush. It actually worked to my surprise.
Once we made it there, I rushed into Johnny's room while the others followed close behind me.
"Hey. Hey, Johnny. We beat the Socs, man. We chased them right out of our neighborhood," Dally told Johnny.
"It's useless," Johnny said. I actually didn't know what he meant by that. "Fighting ain't no good," He added. Dally then decided to change the subject.
"You know, they're still writing editorials about you in the papers, you know, about you being a hero. We're all proud of you, buddy. It's gonna be all right," Dally told Johnny.
"Ponyboy, Y/n... S-s-stay gold Ponyboy, Y/n. Stay gold," Johnny told us. And then after that, his body went limp. My heart just dropped as tears were already rolling down my cheeks.
"J-Johnny?" I said as I cried.
"Johnny, come on," Dally said as he tried to shake Johnny awake. "S-so this is what you get, huh? This is what you get for helping people? You punk. Come on, Johnny! Don't die! Come on. Come on, Johnny. Don't die on me now. Please," Dally said as he started to cry.
He then got up and banged on the wall in frustration. "Bastards!" He yelled. He then took one last look at Johnny and then left the room.
It was now me and Ponyboy that were left in the room. I couldn't do anything else but cry. Pony hugged me and tried to comfort me.
"It'll be ok, Y/n. It'll be ok," Pony told me.
Will everything be ok?

We made it back to the house. We didn't have a car, so we walked back home. I tried to get the image out of my head, but I couldn't.
Once we were inside, I saw everyone all beaten up and Darry was sitting on a chair while trying to heal his cuts he had on his hand. He then notice us home and got curious on where we were.
"Hey, where you two been?" Darry asked us.
Just by thinking about Johnny just made me look down as tears started forming in my eyes again. I didn't feel like talking right now. Neither did Pony.
"Hey, Pony, Y/n, what...? What's wrong?" Darry asked us as he stood up.
"Johnny's dead," Ponyboy answered. Pony then started walking past the living and then stopped to look at us. "I told him about beating the Socs. I don't know... He just died. Told me and Y/n to 'stay gold,'" Pony said as Two-Bit came and saw what was going on.
"Dally's gone. He couldn't take it. He's gonna blow," Pony then stated.
Timeskip
Right now, we are all settling down after what Pony told everyone. I was leaning against Two-Bit as he hugged and tried to comfort me.
The phone then rang and Steve answered it. Steve then called for Darry and Darry started talking to the person on the phone. He then hung up after a few seconds and looked at all of us with a worried look on his face.
"That was Dally. The cops are after him. We gotta hide him.
We then get up and exit the house. Darry also told us that Dally will meet us at the park, so we ran to that location.
As we were getting closer, we already saw the cops there surrounding Dally. Dally then pulled out a gun that wasn't even loaded and aimed it at the cops, which caused them to shoot at him.
The sound of the gun shots echoed through my ears as we ran towards them. We all then started shouting towards the cops, saying that the gun is not loaded.
"It's not loaded! Don't!"
"Stop!"
"It's not loaded!"
"No! No!"
"He's just a kid!"
Once we reached Dally, he was already dead. Tears started forming in my eyes just by looking at him like this. First Johnny, and now Dally?
Just then, Ponyboy fell to the ground and passed out.
