As Louis enters through the doors of the school he instantly spots his best friend, Zayn. Zayn has been Louis' best friend ever since they started going to this school. They met the first day and instantly connected. Zayn, looking from the outside, seems mysterious and quiet, but once you get to know him, he's really outgoing and fun.

"Hey Lou," Zayn greets, shoving some books into his locker and pulling another out.

"Hi Z," Louis replies and laughs at Zayn as some of the books in his locker fall out and land on the floor.

"Crap." Zayn sighs and bends down to pick up the books. Louis decides to actually be nice and help him out, so he bends down as well. As he does that though, he hears Harry's thoughts again.

Louis can only read people's minds when they're somewhat close to him, so this means Harry is exactly that.

"Wow, that's a nice bum. Is that the guy from the bus?"

Louis replays the words in his mind and smirks at the compliment. He knows Harry is talking, or thinking, about him, with the way he's standing right now; bum poking slightly upwards.

"What are you smirking at, creep?" Zayn chuckles at Louis' facial expression, and Louis quickly shakes his head and transport out of Harry's mind again.

"Nothin', was just thinking about something funny." Louis shrugs, clearly lying. Zayn could always tell when Louis lied.

"Mhm," Zayn mumbles unconvinced. "Anyway, what's your first class?"

"Dance," Louis rolls his eyes. He hates dancing with a passion, but it's mandatory so his has no choice wether he wants to take it or not. And he's pretty much failing it right now, so he knows he has to step up his game, and that just bothers him even more. "You?"

"Bio. I'll see you at lunch then?"

"Bet on it." Louis smiles and the two part ways as Louis heads towards his dreaded dance class.

He's searching his bag for his dance shoes when he bumps into someone in the hallway. Louis takes a few steps back and raises his head to look at the guy he's probably about to yell at for bumping into him, but then he sees none other than Harry, and he can't make himself do it.

"I'm so sorry!" Harry quickly excuses himself. Louis then notices how tall Harry really is. He couldn't see it before because he was sitting down, but Harry's much taller than Louis.

"It's okay. Was partly my fault anyway." Louis smiles politely at him, and without really wanting to, well maybe a little, he transports into his mind again.

"Of course I would bump into this boy. I'm such a dork. And on my first day. I'm already ruining everything for myself."

Other that what Louis can hear, he can also see on Harry's face that he's very distressed and he's beating himself up over this.

"Really, it's okay," Louis tries assuring the boy.

"I'm really sorry." Harry fiddles awkwardly, which really is quite cute.

"Don't worry 'bout it." Louis smiles.

The two stand in silence for a bit before Louis breaks the silence when he figures Harry is too shy to do so himself.

"Are you new here? Don't think I've seen you around." Louis asks. He knows that Harry's new, but he shouldn't know so he has to make it seem like he doesn't.

"Yep. First day, and already on a roll as you can see." Harry jokes shyly and Louis can't help but chuckle.

"Wow, he laughed at my joke. And his laugh is the cutest thing ever, oh my God."

Louis tries not letting Harry's thought distract him from the conversation, but it's hard with all the compliments. Louis just wants to smile and compliment Harry back.

"You're doing fine, don't worry." Louis smiles at the tall boy. Harry looks unconvinced but changes the subject. "Could you maybe help me get to my first class? Don't really know my way around here."

"Sure," Louis smiles, happy to help. "What class do you have?"

"Dance." Harry squeaks out.

"Well, I have that too, so we'll just walk together then."

"Okay." Harry smiles shyly. For such a big, fit guy, Harry's really quite shy and timid.

The two walk together until they reach the door to the dance room. They walk in and Louis sees Niall holding a spot for him so he walks to the back of the room while Harry takes a seat in the middle, where there's an empty spot.

"Who was that guy?" Niall questions.

"He's new, I just helped him find the classroom." Louis informs and Niall nods.

A few minutes later the teacher, Mrs. Hayes, walks in and greets her students. "Good morning, students," She starts. "Today, we're starting an important assignment that will affect your preliminary marks," Louis groans in his head.

"But first off, we have a new student today, who has moved here all the way from Holmes Chapel." Mrs. Hayes informs and then motions to Harry. "This is Harry Styles," Everyone's eyes turn to look at the boy who seems rather uncomfortable in the spotlight. "And I want you all to welcome him with open arms and be as nice as possible."

Louis makes eye contact with Harry and tries smiling at him to let him know that he at least has one friend here. Well, not really yet, but Louis' sure they will become friends.

"As I was saying before, we have an important assignment coming up. You're all going to be put into pairs consisting of one boy and one girl, and then the assignment is to choreograph a dance together and preform it for the rest of the class and I. I'll assign pairs, and a genre of dance to each individual pair and then you will have three weeks to prepare a dance that is at least three minutes long." Mrs. Hayes finishes and some students cheer in excitement while others, mostly the boys, groan. Louis really was dreading this because he knew it would come at some point, and he does not want to go up and dance in front of all his classmates. He's not necessarily bad at dancing, he just doesn't want to embarrass himself.

Mrs. Hayes starts assigning pairs and then telling each pair what kind of dance they have to choreograph. After each pair has been assigned they quickly disappear from the room to immediately start rehearsing, until there's only Harry and Louis remaining in the classroom.

"Louis, Harry, since there's more boys than girls in the class, I needed to have two boys dance together, and since you're the tallest boy Harry, and you the shortest Louis, I thought it would be the smartest. Plus, I'm guessing you two are the ones that would obey they least to dance with another boy." Mrs. Hayes explains.

Louis would love to spend the time with Harry, but to dance with him in front of the whole class, that's a whole other talk. And what did she mean by that last statement, Louis thought.

"Okay." Louis nods unsure. He exchanges an awkward look with Harry before Mrs. Hayes starts talking again.

"So the dance I want you boys to perform is contemporary. This is the genre that allows the most freedom and there's a lot of different styles to choose from. So I want you guys to go somewhere and research a little before you start choreographing, okay?"

Harry and Louis both nod and then Mrs. Hayes walks out of the room, presumably to check on some of the other pairs.

"So...contemporary huh." Louis doesn't really know what to say, so these are the words he manages to form.

"Yup." Harry smiles awkwardly. "Guess we should start researching then."

Louis nods and so they find their computers and start searching for contemporary dances on google and youtube to get some knowledge.
