Chapter 17

Pearls POV

It has been a six months since Demon had moved his pack closer to mine. The house he had said was going to built for us was finished in just three months and we had been living in it for three months I was pregnant and had been since our first mating and was ready to pop. I had no idea how many I was having because I wanted it to be a surprise. I had also taken a leave from my security job when it became noticeable that I was pregnant. My colleagues had wanted to know who the lucky guy was so I invited Demon to come with me to work and they had literally pissed themselves in his presence. Which I found rather funny considering they were all meant to big big strong dudes. My pack was doing alright as we got used to our situation. Males from Demons could visit but they were not permitted to stay for long as the female only pack wanted to stay that way. But I was worried for the future when my daughters would find their mates, though for now I could rest easy as they were only ten although they would be eleven before I knew it. 

Our lives returned to normalcy with the exception that Quarts and Jake coming to visit when they had time. To be honest it was more than I could have asked for. Mine and Clara's parents are the ones who bring them. I was surprised my how far they had come in six months as Rex increased there training and was being more of an alpha than before. The only down side to the new arrangements were that some of Demons pack members didn't like the fact that I hardly fit into the role of a traditional Luna. Luna, my skin still crawls at the thought as memories of my rejection faded into my vision before I could shake them away. "Hey now, your fine, your stronger than you know Pearl" Demon said as he wrapped his arms around waist or how far he could get them, leaving his hands lying on my pregnant stomach. "I know it's just the hormones" I replied glad that he was so understanding. "why don't we get your mind of things" He said wiggling his eyebrows in suggestion. "We can't the doctor said we shouldn't" I giggled as he inhaled my scent from my neck. "That's no fun. We can snuggle instead" He insisted at which I couldn't help the genuine smile that settled onto my lips.

After our brief conversation we were snuggled up in front of the telly on the couch with my head resting on Demons chest listening to his strong steady heartbeat which lulled me to a dozing sleep until I felt a sharp pain shoot through my abdomen. "Pearl sweetheart you have to be awake" Demon spoke as he picked me up and left our home. He would be taking me to his pack lands as the pack needed it's heirs to be born in their territory to recognise them as the next leader of the pack which I thought was stupid but had agreed to as long as it was my pack doctor that would deliver the pup or pups. "I'm awake honey don't worry" I assured him reaching up a hand to his cheek as a involuntary whimper left me. 

When we arrived at Demons pack house, Lacey was already there with the other packs doctor and I was rushed into a private room. The labour lasted hours and I had already given up counting after the fourth hour as I was in to much pain. The rest of the labour after that was a surreal experience as if I wasn't in my body just watching as the labour progressed. When the pups were finally born it was only then that I was able to control my own body again. "Congratulations alpha it's twins" Stated Lacey very proudly, I'm glad I had insisted she be the one to help me through the labour. "Demon" I croaked without meaning to come off so drained. "Yes sweetheart, I'm right here. Do you need anything" He asked concern thick in his words.

"Maybe some water, oh and I want to see my pups" I almost growled as I had yet to see them. "Alright, here we have two sons" Demon announced as he brought them over to me. He placed them both on my bare chest so they could nurse from me. "Thank you" I whispered when he put a glass of water to my lips. "Anytime" he answered before placing a light kiss on my forehead. "What should we name them" Demon asked as he looked over the two nursing babies with such love that I knew we would be fine. "If I may alpha, Why not Slate and Jasper they are gems and that way they won't stand out from their siblings" Lacey offered at just the time I had asked her too. Demon thought it over for a second before nodding his head in agreement having already figured out that I had chose the names but had Lacey announce it. "So Slate and Jasper Johns It is then" Demon declared. This was perfect I had my complete family and I was no longer lonely. Demon had chased the loneliness away when he had kissed me on that battlefield and I was finally ready to accept his feelings for me and my feelings for him and I'm glad that I did. 

After a few hours of resting with just my sons and Demon. My daughters were finally let in, to see there younger siblings. To say they have been excited would be an understatement they have been looking forward to meet them since they caught the change in my scent all those months ago. "Hello, girls come here" I offered when they seemed apprehensive to come any closer to us. Diamond and Emerald came up first followed by Ruby and Sapphire. "Mom what happens now" Sapphire asked no doubt worried for the future as well. "Don't worry sweety, we will all live in our house and you and your sisters will inherit our pack and your little brothers will inherit Demons and Quarts will take over Rex's pack" I explained. Then it dawned on me I would have pups ruling over three different packs that thought alone was enough feel so much pride for every single one of my pups. "Your mothers right girls, her territory is yours and always will be" Demon affirmed in a sincere way to put their minds at ease. He was right about that they have worked too hard  not to take over my pack. They are my legacy for my pack and I will train them until we are ready to let them take over the pack. The same goes for Slate and Jasper when they become old enough to take over Demons pack.
