Rex's POV
"Mommy where have you been all this time" asked my son Quartz shyly as tears welled up in his eyes. "I've been with my pack sweetie but you had to be with your fathers pack sweetie" said Pearl softly but hardened her words while she was referring to me. "But we can be together now can't we" my son asked as tears were freely pouring down his face. "For a little while sweetie but then me and you sisters have to go back to our pack and you have to stay here to become the next alpha" she said steadily little did she know Quartz is not my only child. "But mommy I'm not in line for the alpha position the Luna said her son Calum is and father agrees with her" Quartz said in a harsh tone.

So this is how my son thinks of me even though it was his mother who gave him up and I raised him and he still loves her. "Quartz go back inside with Jake and play while I and our pack train with the Highland Creak pack" I said calmly but in my alpha tone. "Yes alpha" he and Jake replied before going to walk into the pack house. "Wait" yelled Pearl and Clara. "What is it now" I asked annoyed at their interruption. "I demand our sons be trained along side us or we will go home an leave you to deal with the rouges alone" Clara growled as she protectively stood in front of the boys as well as Pearl who's eyes where shifting colour meaning she was on the verge of shifting. Then all six of their daughters were standing by their sides with the boys at the back and with five alphas and three betas my guard squad would be gone. "we also demand that any females who want to train are permitted too" snarled Pearl.

"We will agree we will all start training together tomorrow so for today why don't you run us through your training method" I slightly growled back. She nodded yet I could still see how tense her pack was. "Alright get into your pairs and remember you have to depend on this person fully through the entirety of this training session" said Clara as she stood next to Matthew as he was the only other beta to which Pearl stood next to me and watched everyone pick partners. "Alright we start with basic training such as running, and combat in wolf and human form. Then we move onto advanced training which is a combination of different sports and then expert is training with weapons, and then master training where we learn to hone our senses and our wolf instincts doing so will help you to connect with your wolf" said pearl in full alpha mode. "Why do we need weapon training" asked one of the warriors in a tone full of disrespect. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a dagger slash his cheek in such a quick movement it took all my attention to see it so I couldn't move. "That's why" said Pearl as she high five Emerald who had a small dagger in her hand. "H-how d-did you do that" asked the warrior as he ran his fingers over the small yet deep cut on his cheek before eyeing the blood on his fingers. "Yes I would also like to know how you performed such a feet" I said still in shock that a ten year old has that kind of skill.

"I did what I was trained in all four of the alpha sisters are experts at one type of training yet we can perform all the others. Diamond is and expert at close combat in both wolf an human form. Ruby is an expert at fighting through sport which is a sure fire way to throw enemy's off guard so you are the victor. Safire is an expert at senses training and the bond between her and her wolf is unbreakable. And lastly me, I am and expert in wielding weapons" spoke Emerald in her full alpha voice as she had drawn twin swords and pointed them at the warriors, to which they stepped back kneeling and baring their necks towards an alpha. "What is the meaning of this" I snarled at Pearl. "What ever do you mean" she asked. "You have stolen their innocence by training them to early and forcing children to fight" I cried. "I trained them this early so they have a better chance of survival, tell me how may pups and teenagers have you lost in these rouge attacks" she asked and I gulped. "We've lost half the pups under nine and a third of the teenage pups" I said solemnly. "This is why we train our pups to make sure that they can defend themselves in any situation. But our pups have yet to see a battle but if it comes to that our pack is most likely to survive and carry on our packs future" she replied calmly. I'm a failure as an Alpha I've jeopardised my packs future with the mortality rate our packs young is at now.

"Alpha vampire scent at the northern border" said one of the scouts I had positioned up there. "Hold him there until we arrive" I said back before cutting off the mindlink. "Vampire on northern border" I said before shifting into my wolf and running toward the northern border. When I arrived at the northern border I shifted and threw in some shorts and turned around to see that Pearls pack was behind me wearing their original clothes meaning they had not shifted. "How were you able to keep up to me if your all still in human form" I asked confused. "Sure we can run faster than this though" said a warrior nonchalantly. "Okay Vladimir you can come out now if any of these idiots attack they'll be killed" said Pearl whilst looking up at a tree. "Well if it isn't my favourite werewolf and Alpha, It's great to see you again how longs it been" asked the tree. "It's been three years and I've been good now get out of that tree so I can give you a hug" Pearl replied to the tree. Then suddenly the tree branches started shaking as something started to descend from the tree, to which my warriors started growling. "Touch him and I will kill you with no remorse" said Pearl as the vampire came into view. He had raven black hair with glowing purple eyes and pale skin along with his lean yet muscular build.

He never acknowledged my self or my pack as he reached the base of the tree and walked straight over to Pearls pack. "Where's my favourite little alphas in training" he said to which all of Pearls daughters replied "were here uncle Vlad". "Ah and you've got so big you can still kick but though right" asked the vampire to which the girls nodded. "My what has the prince of vampires been up to this time" Pearl said, wait this guy is the vampire prince and we nearly attacked him it's a good job Pearl was here otherwise we could have started another war between vampires and werewolves. "I've been scouting this area for my father you know us vampires always on the look out for werewolf blood and since there's rouges here we thought we could take some of them so we'd help out this pack" said the vampire. "So how many rouges have you gathered" I asked him as I cautiously approached. "So far I have gathered ten Rouges but I've only been here for an hour" Said the Vampire Prince. "So you do not wish to harm my pack" I asked. "Wow I'm hurt you really think that I would harm you" He replied sarcastically as he feigned hurt by placing his hand on his chest.

"I guess not every pack can be like yours my friend" said the vampire prince. "No I guess not every pack is" Pearl replied. "Yeah but what I like about your pack is you help anyone passing through and your all so caring and strong, and your training is so intense I couldn't keep up" Said the Vampire Prince and suddenly I had a whole new perception of the Scottish pack. The more I watched them the more I am beginning to realise why they are so strong I have a feeling they are allied with some very powerful forces, and as I watch the alpha and beta pups interact with the pack I can see an unshakeable bond between them and Pearls method has secured her packs future unlike mine as I have a new mate with a one year old son she believes should be in line for the alpha position which in truth that position belongs to Quartz after all he is my first born son, and I know Pearl only had to give him up due to that stupid law that states mates rejected who happen to have pups must give the first born son to the male.
