Sienna's POV

"Mark? Jack? Where are you, boys?" I called. I hadn't seen them since they came home from school. I checked their room, hoping that they'd be there. I didn't like not knowing where my boys were.

"Are you boys in here?" I asked, entering their room. I spotted them immediately and rushed to hug them and kiss their cheeks.

"Sienna," Jack whined, "Not now."

"But I missed you, boys. You were gone all day."

"Yeah, but we really just want to be alone," Mark said, swatting me away. I was hurt. Why did they seem so eager to get away from me?

"Did I do something wrong?" I asked, letting them go.

"No, it's just that we're ten years old now. And you and the other egos never leave us alone; not even for two minutes," Mark told me.

"Jackie wouldn't even let me pee in peace yesterday," Jack grumbled. "We just want some time for ourselves."

"We'll see you at dinner," Mark said as he and Jack left the room. What had I done wrong?

Jack's POV

Once we left the room, I turned my attention to Mark. There have been many more cases, for him at least, that involved the egos basically smothering him with affection and attention. At least he wasn't the only one. Though there was someone he could think of that wouldn't smother us with attention.

"We could head to Andrea's room. She doesn't seem to treat us like little kids as much as the others," I said to Mark. It wasn't that he disliked the ego, she was our family after all, but she tended to treat Mark and I as if we were ten, not two. I headed off to the door once I received a nod from Mark.

"The others do fuss over us a bit," Mark spoke as he looked at me.

"GD does have a tendency to obsess over our grades, well most of the time....." Mark spoke again but trailed off as he sighed, "All the time." Mark corrected himself. I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Or the fact that Heather and Ivanna have been making sure that we eat enough and so on," I pointed out to Mark, as we walked down the hallway towards Andrea's room. On the way, I started to think over all the other events. There were a few times that Carly basically treated me like I was four.

"Maybe they will ease off the affection. At least Andrea and Demi don't coddle us like we are two," Mark pitched in as we carried on our way. I had to admit that was kinda true. Hopefully, the two would let us stay in there to get away from the other egos, just for a little bit of time.

"Let's hope they don't mind us staying with them," I said to Mark as I glanced a bit ahead of us seeing Andrea's door. Once we were at the door, I glanced at Mark before back to the door as I lifted my hand and knocked on the wooden door.

Mark's POV

"What's up, kid?" Andrea asked, answering the door.

"Can we chill with you?" I asked.

"Sure. Hey, Demi, the boys are here," She called back into the room, before opening it and letting us in.

"Oh shit, you did hire strippers?"

"No, dumbass, our nephews are here. They just wanna chill," The glitchy demon answered, sliding down into a bean bag chair, next to Demi.

"Hello, boys," Demi said, acknowledging us. We should have known she'd be here too. Demi and Andrea were two peas in a pod; they were always together. Not that I minded, Demi wouldn't smother us either. It was a miracle she'd even said hello to us.

"Are the other's being annoying again?" Andrea asked, twiddling with her favorite knife while being careful not to cut herself.

"Just Sienna. But the others are always around us. Why can't just leave they just leave us alone sometimes?" Jack asked.

"Because they have almost an addiction to you boys. That's why," Demi answered nonchalantly.

"Well, it's getting annoying. Kids at school already bully us because we have so many mother-figures. If they find out that they smother us, it's all over," I said.

"You mean when they find out," Jack corrected.

"We just wanna figure ourselves out, you know?" I said, feeling an overwhelming about of despair consume me. Was that really too much to ask?

Andrea's POV

I gave a halfhearted shrug. What else can you say, the others were babying the two.

"So you two came here as a sorta escape from them?" I asked for a bit of clarification. I didn't mind them staying as long as the other egos practically didn't flood the room looking for the two. I saw the two boys nod at my question.

"As long as you two don't break anything in here then you can stay. Besides you two seem to need a break from their attention," I added as I motioned towards another set of chairs. Unlike the others, I can sit in the same room with my nephews without being overly affectionate nor smothering the two kids. They seem to not want that treatment. Hopefully, the others will catch that drift sooner or later.

Demi's POV

"You boys have been awfully quiet," I said about an hour later. Neither boy had uttered a word in the last hour and I was getting a little concerned they had died and no one knew.

"I'm ok. You, Mark?" Jack said.

"Yeah, I'm fine," He sighed.

"You sure?" Andrea asked.

"Yeah. We're just enjoying the silence," Mark answered.

"I bet you boys don't get much of that, do you?" I asked.

"Nope," Jack answered and I couldn't have helped but feel a tad bad for the boys. All they wanted was space to figure themselves out and no one else was giving that to them. It was unfortunate, but that was just how the other egos were and there was no changing that. No matter how annoying it was. And God, was it annoying. Especially for the boys. I just wished that the others would realize they were pushing the boys away. Pushing them straight to Andrea and I.
