Chapter 5 - Losing

"Uraraka!!" The table exclaimed. Iida stood up, "Uraraka you are 26 minutes late!"

"Sorry! I got too swept up in decorating, I lost track of the time!"

"Told ya." Tsu whispered to Toru.

"Whew, I'm starving! Where do I sit?"

"Your seat's over here!" Momo exclaimed, patting the seat in the middle of her and Tsu. Uraraka plopped down, said her thanks, and began to eat.

Kirishima glanced at Bakugo, who didn't seemed to be bothered that she was there, concluding that he was ignoring her. Whew. Thank god.

Everyone reverted their topics to some positive ones, including the one about them getting to add more advanced tweaks to their costumes.

"Todoroki, don't you think you should get an upgrade?" Toru asked.

Todoroki slurped his soba, "Not really..."

"I just think that it seems too plain." Mina rested her head in her hand. "It needs more! More... more... Aoyoma what's that word?"

"Pizazz!"

"Pizazz!! Yeah!!"

Todoroki shrugged his shoulders. "I'm not trying to look flashy or anything... I'm probably gonna stick to my regular costume."

"What if you didn't add anything that big to it?" Uraraka suggested. "What if you just changed up the design?"

Todoroki seemed intrigued. "What do you mean by that?"

"Keep it's form, your tool belt, and all it's other things, but make it seem like it's more your costume."

"But... it is my costume.."

"Let me rephrase, the costume you have now, anyone can wear it and call it theirs. Cause there's nothing on it that screams 'Shoto'!"

Todoroki tilted his head to the side, "Uraraka, costumes don't scream."

"N-No..."

Everyone bursts out laughing, Momo almost spits out her tea and Deku choked on his rice. Bakugo rolled his eyes.

"Okay.. Let me rephrase again. Try to match your costume with your quirk."

Todoroki stared back at his empty plate. "I'll think about it."

"That's stupid."

Everyone turned their attention to Bakugo, who finally started to pay attention. Uraraka chose to ignore him.

"No matter what he adds to his stupid costume, it won't make him any type of unique."

Todoroki wasn't offended, he was used to it. So he just rolled his eyes. Uraraka continued to ignore him.

Bakugo please stop talking, Kirishima nudged his arm, trying to get his attention. But it was all focused on the back of Uraraka's head. "No matter what upgrades it obtains, it won't change how it functions."
