Music is Our Life

The room was filled with a bright white light. But what they weren't expecting it to do was split into three colors. Everyone gasped and backed away. Tails pulled out one of his gadgets and something from his pocket which happened to by his camera. He recorded the whole thing!

For Scientific study of course.

The color pink shot out into the sky. It twisted and twirled almost like a ribbon. No one dared to touch the source of beauty. The sounds of piano filling the air playing a magnificent tune as bright pink lights circled everyone. The two sibling smiled at each other as they remember the tune from when they first figured out why were siblings.

Soon the color green shot out from Manic's medallion. He smiled as green dashed around the room. Much faster then the graceful pink light show the group saw before. The drumming solo that Manic usually played crashed and banged. The tune was so clear and he remember all the times they had played that song. All of the memories that song held.

Lastly was a blue streak. But it seemed dull. Not glowing like the others. It was more of a dull blue. It did spread out and bring the group joy. All you could hear from the stream of blue was a guitar solo. A song that the siblings have never heard before. But the tune was slow... Sad. On further inspection of the  blue streak it seemed ripped.

Tattered beyond repair.

"Wow... Look at that. Is that Sonic's? I thought it would be glowing more. I also thought it would move much faster than the others. Interesting," Tail said out loud and started typing notes on his electronic note pad.

"So you all really like music don't you?" Any asked and the two siblings nodded. Not being able to answer them as it was hard enough keeping the magic alive without their trio.

The group stopped for a second as they noticed the music taking up some speed. The green and pink light came together to form a sphere above their heads. Like a disco ball reflecting off the light. It took a bit longer for the blue light to join the other two lights in the air. But I soon made it.

The disco ball like item lowered itself above the three siblings. It shined brightly and the blue seemed to be gaining color. The two sibling smiled as the colors blew up and formed the colored of the rainbow. How the magic worked? The trio couldn't tell you. Even they didn't know.

A second later all the lights were gone. They all looked over at Sonic's body which was calm. A little stiff but definitely healthier than it was before. Manic and Sonia high fives each other. They had done magic! It had been awhile since they had pulled of something like that. Usually they needed their brother for a huge power surge.

But he was there...

Just seeing family was enough drive to get them through...

"Wow. Fracker seems better already. You think he's gonna wake up soon," Shadow asked poking at the blue hedgehog's arm as he was filled with curiosity.

"Shadow! Back away from the boy! Oh my Chaos! Will you stop poking him? I swear if he wakes up now he's going to slap you," Rouge said and Shadow just rolled his eyes at the white bat's complaint.

They all laughed as Rouge tried her hardest to pry Shadow off of Sonic. But it seemed like the ebony hedgehog was impossible to move. So they all just gave up and let Shadow poke Sonic as much as he wanted.

"So what was that song that was playing? You guys seem to know it well," Tails asked as he looked through the footage he had taken.

"Well. It was kinda a family thing. Or at least it turned out that way. When we all met and found out we were siblings we found each other by playing a song! So whenever we need someone's help we play that song! It's become a go to tune to be honest with you," Sonia said and Manic nodded letting out a slight chuckle.

"Yeah! Those times were great. Yeah we made a bunch of songs back then. But that song? It was the greatest! It's what brought us together! The trio wouldn't be what it is now without music," Manic said and the others seemed interested.

"Then why did Sonic leave you guys? Hearing about you past makes it seem like you guys were really close. What happened to that?" Amy asked and Manic and Sonia looked at each other than down to the floor.

"Well... You see? Sonic has always been our brother. But sometimes he doesn't realize that we're his siblings," Sonia said and everyone but Manic gave her a weird expression.

"I'm not following," Tails said and Sonia sighed.

"What my sis here is trying to say is that he forgets that we're there for him too. He knows he's our brother and that it's his job to protect us. But he forgets that we're his siblings and it's our job to look after him. Even if he is the leader. I just wish he could have seen it sooner," Manic said and Sonia put her hand on her brother's shoulder.

"He didn't realize that we would be by his side no matter how dangerous things were. He forgot that we were siblings and that looking out for each other goes both ways. That's why he left. He through that protecting us was his only job. So he left. His only mind set being one thing and one thing only. Protect my family," Sonia continued and the others nodded.

They understood everything the two siblings were talking about.

"I get what you mean. Sonic forgets that we're a team sometimes. He forgets that he doesn't need to protect us sometimes," Tails said and the other siblings smiled as they finally found some people who understood their struggles with a certain blue hedgehog.

Soon a loud slap echoed through the room.

"Ow! Faker slapped me!"

"I told you to stay away Shadow,"

"You know it's not nice to talk about a certain hedgehog when he's passed out on a medical bed,"

"Sonic!"
