"Sonic!" Both siblings yelled and the azure just sat there dumbfounded.

"Manic? Sonia? You're really here?"

The two siblings quickly pulled their brother into hug. Sonic enjoyed the embrace for a good few seconds until he realized who was hugging him. He frowned and gently pushed them away. The two siblings looked at their brother weirdly only to see the azure hedgehog looked down at his lap. He was twiddling his thumbs and his ears were pinned to his skull.

"Why? Why were you two here? I thought that you were back at home with mom. You know? Living your normal happy lives? You know? The life that you live far... Far... Very far from here?" Sonic asked and let out on of the most disappointing laughs.

"Sonic... We know why you left. You wanted us to be safe and all that Jazz. But it's the future. The kingdom is safe and everything is better now. You don't need to protect us anymore! It's different," Sonia said and Sonic shook his head.

"That's the point guys. We aren't the only things that have changed. I've changed. Eggman has changed. What means that you aren't safe. It's even worse that you're here! It would have been a little bit better if you would have found me on one of my adventures further from the city. But of course fate has to be a pain in the butt," Sonic said as he facepalmed and let out a sigh.

"Sonic... We've changed. We gotten stronger just like you. We might not be as strong or as fast as you. But we can handle ourselves! So why can't you see that for once?! Will you ever stop degrading us? We siblings Sonic! How many times do I have to beat it into your huge ego?!" Sonia asked her voice tasing a bit louder and louder.

"What?! I'm degrading you! I never said I was faster or anything like that! I just know that Eggman or Robotnik... Whatever his name is! He's gotten stronger and you haven't fought anything outside of the kingdom! So why don't you just go back to mom and let me live my life?!" Sonic asked his voice raising a bit too.

"Why can't you see we've changed?! What makes you think we're not different?!" Sonia asked stepping up to the azur's hedgehog invading his personal space.

"BECAUSE I CAN SEE YOU HAVEN'T CHANGED!" Sonic said and the urgency in his voice knocked everyone back. No one has seen the hedgehog this mad.

"I can see you haven't changed. Always blaming me for every bad thing! Making my the source of the problem! I'm not the only one with an emo Sonia! You have one! Manic has one! We all have one because we are REAL! We're ALIVE! I'm ALIVE! But sometimes it seems like you FORGET THAT I HAVE FEELINGS! I'm a real being to!" Sonic yelled as he had been pushed over the edge. He couldn't stay with them any longer.

Sonic didn't care if his friends were watching. He glared at his siblings making them back down even more. They had nothing to say and Sonic just scoffed. Not even an apology. Sonic just sighed and ran out of the workshop and up the stairs to the main floor of the house. Sonic then burst through the front door and into the open fields.

Sonic then let his mind wander as he ran. He didn't stop nor look back. He was living such a good life until Sonia and Manic came along. They didn't have to come back. But no... They did. They came back looking for the brother that they seemed to hate.

When Sonic took the time to look he realized he was at Vanilla's house. Sonic sighed as he really needed someone to talk to. But he didn't want to bother Vanilla more than he had to. But before Sonic could walk away the door opened revealing the happy old bunny that Sonic treated like a mother.

"How did you know I was here? Mother senses tingling?" Sonic asked and a vanilla just let out a soft giggle.

"I saw you walk up to the door while I was putting away the cleaning supplies. You seem worried again. What happened?" Vanilla asked and Sonic just shook his head looking at the ground.

"Sorry for bothering you again Vanilla. I don't want to keep worrying you with my problems. I was just leaving too," Sonic said with a sigh and Vanilla just shook her head and stepped aside letting The blue hedgehog walk into the clean house.

"So what happened this time? Usually you don't visit me this often. Not that I mind. It's great to see you. But I'd rather see someone I call a son visit me on more happy occasions," Vanilla said as she locked the front door once again and Sonic let out a dry chuckle.

"They're back," Sonic simply said and Vanilla seemed to stiffen and she immediately was a Sonic's side soon pulling the hedgehog into a hug.

"Oh Sonic! Do you know how they found you? What did they say? Aw! Did they hurt you! I really hope they didn't. Tell me everything," Vanilla said and Sonic pondered on where to start.

"They found me after a battle with Eggman. I was greatly injured so Tails took me home to heal. When I woke up they were just standing there. I started talking to them and they still don't know what they did. The day that they've changed. But I don't believe them. Especially after that display of this thing they call affection," Sonic said and Vanilla just sighed letting the blue hedgehog out of the hug.

"Why don't I get some cookies ready for you and we can talk about this more. I can tell there are so many things you need to let go," Vanilla said and Sonic nodded soon sitting on the nearby couch.

"Thanks Vanilla,"
