"i know you don't want to talk to anybody right now," iris slowly entered her younger brother's room, "and i know this isn't something that you'd want to hear-"

"iris can you not?" marty interrupted her, wrapping himself up in farther down under his blanket.

"i understand-"

"that's cool, iris." he sighed.

she's been missing for a month.

no trace.

nothing but a note saying 'help me'.

nobody knows where she is as far as marty knows.

"she's been pronounced as possibly dead." iris told him quickly, as if she was ripping off a band aid.

"can you get out?" he rolled his eyes, trying to keep in his burning tears.

"our friends are here." iris said, "actually it's just kira and tj, but they're still here. i'm gonna let them in."

"can you guys stop?" marty sighed.

"sorry." tj apologized, sitting in his orange desk chair, "you okay?"

"just dandy." marty sarcastically responded.

"we'll find her. you have all of her friends, your friends, both the spikes, and the boys basketball team, and all of our families working to find her."

"what if we don't?"

"what do you mean?" kira asked, sitting on the floor next to my bed.

"what if she's just...gone? never coming back. i mean, it's been a month. what if we don't find her?" he came up from under his blankets.

"don't talk like that. we'll find her." kira stated.

marty got up to go get a bottle of water from the kitchen.

tj whispered to grab kira's attention.

"what if he's right?" tj whispered
